are you using a magnetic cover?

make sure when you leave it standby that the display is off..

if you are not, better to check with Apple Service

I urge you to recheck wether its true its sleep when you close your magnetic cover. Possibly can sleep from main page but cant from lockscreen. It probably not go into sleep. If it not sleep try reboot (shut down and on) it when in that casing for it to readjust. My new iPad have trouble sleep from lockscreen previously, settled with this

same problem here, just occured last week.

before this, drain 10% per day in sleep mode.

nowadays, i left it at 80% in the morning, come back from work at 6pm only left 10%, sometimes totally out of power at all.

uninstalled recent apps, off wifi, off bluetooth, off celular data, closed all running apps, still the same.

SWITCHED OFF the ipad, also can drain about 10% per hour.

now trying to restore to factory settings, and see how things goes.

thanks for the suggestion. already tried, but to no avail.

list of things i did:
- brightness reduce to about 40%
- volume off
- all notifications off
- uninstalled all recent apps
- uninstalled every app that can be removed
- no running apps in background
- turned off wifi
- turned off location services

and finally, i even restore the thing back to factory settings (but it's ios6 now, previously was ios5)

still drains about 10% per hour in standby mode

planning to bring to apple service centre this afternoon, since under warranty.
