hie, my mba got over 100gb of others.....I am not sure where to delete the others cause can get more space out of it

wanna ask, i add pictures from my folder into iphoto app, but i am wondering if i delete the pictures from iphoto, will it also delete the actual photo in the folder?? tried but not sure

1. what program u all use to watch movie?? something similar like windows media player?? also do we need to install codec like k-lite mega codec pack like in windows system??
