Hi all,
I am having problem with my iPad 2 WiFi, iOS updated to 5.1.1 sometime ago.
1. When turning on WiFi, it is able to detect my home WiFi SSID, but it said "unable to join the network"?
2. I then did a reset on the network settings, and tried again to join my home WiFi, then it is able to connect, but have no access to Internet!
3. I rebooted my iPad 2 and the wireless router as well, problem still persists!
4. My other laptops have no problem accessing Internet, even my PS3 is working fine!!!
Can anyone help me please?

First, check your Wifi Channel in your router, try 1,6 or 13 and see which works for your iPad. If the problem still persist then check your Wireless Security Mode, iPad is working fine with WEP, WPA & WPA2.

Get a separate 5 GHz AP for the iPad. Set it to Channel 36. At this high frequency, less interference from other devices such as microwave oven, cordless phone, Bluetooth devices and even wireless TV streamers.

Just to share, hope it helps... I'm using an iPad 2, it's now more than a year old and working perfectly fine.
When i first bought the iPad 2, it constantly had disconnection problems when I was using my home Unifi with a D-Link Dir-615 modem (supplied by TM) My computers, notebooks and other devices worked perfectly fine. I thought it was a defect with the iPad 2, but it was a brand new device! I searched everywhere and tried all solutions to no avail. Finally i changed the setting from WPA2 802.11n to WEP 802.11g and did not have any disconnection issues ever since!
So those who are having disconnection issues using Unifi and the D-Link modem, try this solution first.
Just FYI, I'm now using Maxis Fiber and using their Thomson router with 802.11n WPA2 security, no disconnection problems at all.
The D-Link 615 clearly has problem with iPads!
