Hello all

Just got Xperia Pro today, bought it from Terry (x132755) , AP set red.
wish to root and upgrade it, but for now I like to get used to the phone in its original condition first..

couple of questions,

which u guys recommended to do first, root the android or upgrade to ICS ?

since mine not ori, how to upgrade to ICS ? I assume I can't use PC companion right ?

Already upgrade to ICS (4.0.4), but I have few issues

1.how do I disable shutter sound on the camera ? can't found it in the setting
2. is there any why to change the slider (when locked) back to silent mode (currently its camera mode)

Really we can't turn the shutter sound at all ? wonder if there are mod for it ?
Guess I have to start to root the phone then...

I don't think so, coz I'not (on CM9) but don't have it either

Can't find select shutter sound option in the menu, in GB at least I can change the shutter sound.
probably different type of FW ?

i have problem on using the flashtool (version 0.8 with 0.8.6.0 update); is keep saying "Device connected with USB debugging off" and "For 2011 device line, be sure you are not in MTP mode".

I already have USB debugging on and change to MSC mode and already installed version 1.0.1 driver from flashtool folder..

please help me

btw I'm using window XP x64

u mean the silicon made case that wrap around the phone ?
I don't think so because xperia pro has hw keyboard and neo is purely touch screen type..
I tried xperia play case and it don't fit too (even though has similar outline)

smart wireless pro ? is it the headset thing ? I'm looking for that too...

Facebook app is about 3 mb only..the rest probably data..u can clear them up

I've done unlocking the bootloader, but the only indicator is s1tool said 'finished'...I wonder got any other way to know bootloader unlocked ?

Still no go on using flashtool (plz somebody assist me on this), only able to flash FW with baltic version and now can disable shutter sound

ok i've check it out and the loader version does has lowercase 'r'

well I thought about root the phone, since I can't fully connect with flashtool, the root button is not functioning

looks complex procedure to me...have to read thoroughly first..

it does have 6 mode of screen lock - Slide(default), Face Unlock, Pattern, PIN and Password..and None

no fault at all, its perfect
