id rather go for UV mod. at least u can turn the thing off when u wanna sleep.... LED mods if ur using LED fans...cant turn them off man...heh..

besides..UV is definitely way cooler.... check out the UV league thread.

hmm..i'd personally go for UV mod...since it looks much cooler..

seem everyone love uv very much.
but led will give brighter in ur casing and cheaper woh....
then ccfl uv is quite expensive and usual nedd at least just can bright up ur casing...

it depends....
lets say if u wan led, then u need a lot of led to brighten up ur casing...
using normal led, u will need alot of it... using those extra bright led, its not cheap though....
and if u want those led to blink blink, u have to construct ur own circuit urself... and those led cant brighten everypart of the casing unless u seperate it, when u seperate it, the brightness will be affected... some place might be brighter, some place not that bright...


if u wan uv ccfl, u dont need much uv tube though... just 2 long tube is enough... too much of it will turn the whole casing glowing with purpleish colour...

UV looks more lively, LED just seems very papan, cannot change

or maybe some mix mode will be nice also

yaya..UV ccfl can make 3d effect.only wire or other part that u want to show u can show la.not like led bcoz its glow 1 color onli.

LED aint cool,biji2 there n here and you know what,led points the light.
CCFL long enough and it'll bright up your whole casing.

i dont like too bright
i prefer only the certain part are glowing
such as cable, fan, etc

thats why i choose UV

people use led because led can use with dimmer.if u want bright or not bright , just turn the dimmer.

its depends on wat u want on ur case.....those UV stuff...or those bling bling of LED....both got different feel mah....hehe

my current mod is led. the upcomming 1 for sure will be uv. led is not suitable if u run ur rig 24/7! coz the led at the fan cant turn off .

My casing side panel is blue uv coat arcylic, so wat clour of uv ccfl is better???

i feel that most ppl dunt know how to utilise LEDs, i mean LED fans arent cool at all.
but when u cross LEDs with UV effect. it's totally different case.

With all the UV or LED mod, don't you think it will distract and cause uncomfortable feeling when u close the light to watch DVD or movie on your PC?

^that is why i go for UV / color CCFLs instead of any LEDs. so that i can sleep peacefully at night and watch movies peacefully

i'd go for UV lighting. (btw its not a type of mod.its a form of lighting)

1. UV lighting can be turned off by switching off the CCFLs..therefore allowing me to sleep

2. UV glows! LED glares!

no pic now.but its not LED at fan.i use Normal LED and point it to the mirror.

me oso dun like LED ( at Fan) me got 2 lighting mode, 1 is UV another is LED.is prefer use "normal" LED because u can hide it anywhere and oso can turb off when u dun wan to use it.1 more thing, led is small than ccfl tube.

I'm remember last time got ppl said UV killing ur skin and can get cancer.

for uv setup, i think ur pc must have alot of uv stuff like fans, cables etc......
then the effect will more glow......
if not much uv thing then no use if u using uv setup......

i used uv setup b4 this.......but change to led setup by using SMD led..... coz not much uv stuff.......
one thing that i like about led setup that u can put anywhere u like.....
unlimited place and can hide it , not like uv lamp that only can put certain place n sometime cant hide.......

one more thing led setup is cheaper.....
also can mix color like blue+green=aqua or red+blue=purple......

my vote definately goes to UV, it has a ... erm.... how should i say it...
gives a peacefull effect, long ago i got some free icute fans with led... and i hate LED in my rig ever since, its too glaring, but some light purple/red led from CM isnt that bad, it just depending on how u wanna mod your case, u can choose both (UV ccfl and LED), If u ever go with LED, dont get those glaring type...

Since UV lamps cant be placed as u pls, there's always UV LEDs

i actually got both thou... still half way doing my own sleeving

the best is combination of leds, ccfl, uv mods.
LEDs to brighten iup the case for us to view.
UV mods highlight the component like capacitors, fans, heatsink, etc
ccfl activates the UV effect.

note: if u use uv led then ccfl is optional.

uv = bad cable management. Normally this is where you show all the cacing. Gloomy & glowy.
CCFL = neat and tidy set up. Its like litting up a display case. even dust is noticeable under the bright light.

IMO, its easy to get a good UV setup if you have the cash. CCFL? a bit tough as cable management comes to play

for me, include the casing with both CCFL and UV is way cooler and more attractive..

I like the hiroki04030 ideas on combining with LEDs, UV, and CCFL to make ur rig much more "stylo"

Uv cooler

Most of the time its a nightmare to mix match all to work. UV reactive components will look funny under CCFL esp white CCFLs. Furthermore CCFL tends to over shadow UV lights, which meant its hard to get a proper reactive effects unless its properly controlled or aligned. Best would be sticking on either category or at best go with LED & UV if necessary.
