So I was going down Cathedral Level 2 without much resistance. All the elite mobs so far hadn't given me many problems. I was quite comfortable with the abilities and tanking ability of my barb. Then I stepped into Level 2 of the Cathedral.

The first thing that greeted me was the Unburied along with 2 minions. I carefully cleared the area first and then proceeded to engage the damn thing. Immediately I was surrounded by it and his 2 minions. At first it seemed that my life on hit and life on damage were able to keep me up. As usual, I was juggling them with my stuns to minimise damage. Everything seemed under control.

Then, I realized, their HP was pretty damn thick and I was fast running out of tricks. So I popped a pot and tried to pull back. Somehow the minion managed to outrun me and block my path. The elite quickly caught up and started pounding me pretty hard. With my pots on cooldown and my revenge not lit up, I took every hit and my Barb went down. Sigh.

It was a good fight, and Hamsaplou died a warriors death. RIP HAMSAPLOU!

Level 33 Monk

Yesterday I decided to login and give nightmare a run with my monk. Proceeded to Fields of Misery and handled couple of purple packs individually. Was quite comfortable with my monk (again).

Saw a gold mob with 2 minions around it. All 3 were the fatties. Pulled them and started to dps down 1 of the minions. Was stable until the gold mob started to unleash on me. Blew pots, heals, invulns (both) and still failed to kill even a single target. Damaged spiked just before I managed to run away.

Sigh. Will post screenshot later. Quite sad about this loss. I thought I learned my lesson.

Level 33 Monk

So on Saturday (07/07/2012) morning I started with a level 20 2-hander monk. It was glorious. I laid the wrath of Ytar on undead, demons, wasps and any comers. Malatlou had speed, dodge and more importantly strong "get out of jail" skills.

By Sunday morning, Malatlou was a 33 2-hander monk. So "The Amateur Working Bee" messaged me asking if I wanted to party. I accepted and MAJOR wrath of Ytar being laid ensued. Then, LemonT joined us after eating and doing his laundry. By the way, LemonT finished eating and doing laundry in like 15 mins. I don't know what kind of superman is he.

Things were progressing smoothly and then we ended up trying to do Drowned Temple. It was then we encountered a gold mob with the arcane affix. Things started out fine and I was dodging in and out avoiding damage. Suddenly my health dropped like crazy. I zipped out and yet my health kept dropping. I couldn't figure it out. And so it came to pass, Malatlou died to something I didn't see.

After checking the cause of death, it said "Arcane Sentry". This was weird because I saw no laser beams. The only solution must be........
