QUOTE(wufei @ May 20 2006, 11:26 PM) Sorry to bark around here, 1U free wifi is totally useless......Request time out for all the wifi network.........Nothing is free in this world. I agree. I tried it out the other day and even though signal strength was excellent, the connection was crap. Looking at the stats, 1 Utama uses 11mbps nodes, whereas Starbucks uses a 54mbps node. Oh well, can't really blame 1U, it must be difficult setting up free WiFi to service such a large area.QUOTE(TehWateva @ May 25 2006, 08:04 PM) Are you sure? I live nearby and go there often and I've not seen/heard anything like that.QUOTE(goliath @ Aug 7 2006, 02:21 PM) Yes, I go there often. Signal and connection is good, though I won't vouch for the latency. I've not used it for anything but surfing and chatting. Gaming's a whole new ballpark.QUOTE(goliath @ Oct 2 2006, 11:31 AM) Thanks for the info! |

I 'm sure lots of people know Coffee Bean provides WiFi for their customer for free. They're using Airzed and you need to enter the username and password which the staff will tell you.
Sg Wang LG Username: cbsgw1 Password: airzed KL Plaza Username: cbklp1 Password: airzed Now, anyone who knows the username of Coffeebean outlets add it to the list, let's surf together This post has been edited by kelvinyam: Jan 15 2007, 03:31 PM |

I had really bad experience with Airzed. Two times i try to use their service also got problem. First time in KL Centre, call them they said public holiday can not repair the thing. Second is in Sunway Pyramid coffee beam, Initially also can not connect, call them they said they forget to on their modem. But the speed in still worse than dial-up. I thing their customer service also sounds like form 5 school boy cant even speak proper english. Well, i told myself this is the last time i go to coffee beam is they still using airzed, i shall stick to starbuck for timezone. ( Airzed claim that their speed is superb, that is why i just want to try out...Than, it gives me all these crab...And the guy over the phone promise to call me back...i doubt so..

I second that, TIME's WiFi is among the best through my experience. Sad thing is their coverage isn't really wide, if only they could offer their service at more areas then it would be great. |
