I use Nimbuzz for gtalk, ym, etc in addition to whatsapp. For saving battery I sue an app called Battery Power Saving.

Dslr is not a thing where u can always bring along...

808 u can bring all day long....

Compared my n8 and 550D, i use n8 more than 550D... The dslr is mostly for a planned event....

Of course image quality, dslr would be better but smartphone is much more feature rich...

It usually depends what scene you capture?

If you plan to take alot high speed action - go for DSLR
if you plan to take family portrait -  808 is enough
If you do alot video recording - 808 is more recommended for its Nokia Stereo Recording
If you love sharing your photos on the go - 808 highly recommended
If you love to play with shutter speed, aperture, ISO - DSLR highly recommended
If you like to take candid shots - DSLR more recommended
If you are a beginner - go for 808
If you plan to go for intermediate to professional - DSLR

for me the best camera is the one that always with you.

my dslr is collecting thick dust on my shelf and it will keep on doing so for a long time with 808

The faster processor on the 808 make Nokia Maps that much better to use than the N8. It loads very fast, and tracking seems faster too.

i have one good anti-poison for those reading this thread, esp those changes their devices often:

Don't buy 808 because any other phone you change after it will have a lousier camera.

Solid reason to avoid 808 if you don't want to carry 2 devices in future

Hey I've got a crazy idea, I'm going to snorkel this weekend, I wanna bring my 808 under, not that deep, maybe just 2 feet below the surface.

Where can I plastic-seal this phone? You know something like that machine for wrapping the fruits you buy at groceries in plastic, but for this purpose I'm looking for the vacuum, waterproof plastic seal (or some kind of laminating  )
