ya, the red ori case really look like pail color.

anyway, i just got my amzer case...compare with original case...no real difference in thickness.
material wise, feels the same but ori case the back part where the batt is is hard plastic...amzer is basically tpu everywhere but still good enough.
design wise, amzer much better cos got grips on the side and has nice cutouts instead of the loose fitting lens cover of the ori case.
camera button tho, amzer is slightly harder to press compared to ori...maybe later i go cut it out.

another comparison between PV808 and Nikon J1.

tried my best to match the 808 with the J1 which captured the actual color temperature from what i saw in person. i believe i pretty much nailed the color of the sushi but ended up with green mayonnaise and green plate. after spending quite a bit of time fiddling the color, i gave up. yes, wrong focus point of the J1, while 808 got it right and easy by tapping the finger on the desire spot, and clearly shows me as an incompetent photographer. but the color? i only have a choice of the AWB, or cloudy WB which much too orangey and impossible to recover. and those are the only 2 shots i made and ended up keeping it back inside my pocket as a phone... sweat.gif

I would like to check with existing Pureview 808 users whether the phone often hangs or freezes, and a restart is required to resolve this problem. The touchscreen will not respond to any taps or swipes when it hangs. Not too sure why this happens, or whether this is an anomaly with all N8 phones or just a specific batch. It gets quite frustrating sometimes as the phone hangs in 2-3 times per week as an average in my case.

Any information whether this applies to the Pureview 808 would be appreciated.

Guys, please help me. This is a rather small matter, but its big for me since d phone is new.

Yesterday i downloaded n installed a free app which scans ur fingerprint to unlock. After installation i ran it then it proceeded to the scanning screen. Then i changed my mind and didnt wanna use it, so i tried to exit, but no option was given so i tried pressing the "hangup" button, dat lock button, and even tried to switch it off. nothing would let me get outta dat scanning thing. So i just took off the battery.

After restart, i uninstalled the whole thing. Now there is a rather noticeable lag. Not lag, more like slower response towards touch n swipes. It wasnt like this before. If it were a spinning disc i'd understand dat may have scratched something due to impromptu switch off, but what's the case here?

Please help me...what do i do now? Oh, startup is also a tad slower.

I haven't restart my 808 for a very long time already, but I mainly use it for camera purpose.

Can try and hard-reset the device and see?

Hard-Reset is will wipe everything, your apps, contacts, sms, etc all will be cleared and it will be like the first time you turn on your device, so do a backup first.

i had dis suspicion dat if i succesfully get to "scan" my fingerprint, it'll be stored at some malicious database which use people's fingerprints to frame em. too much bourne. hehehe. but in dis modern age nothing is impossible. dats d reason i changed my mind from using it. haha

forget who tell me before actually the trick of scaning fingerprint is the "time duration of putting your finger on screen" hmm.gif
