QUOTE(kae7 @ Sep 2 2012, 05:49 PM) Before this they've stated that Android is one of the choices before they finally chose WP.. Yes, not all people like Android. But what is business? You should capture the market and WHAT PEOPLE WANTS.But you need to know, not all people like Android... Doesnt mean if they have the Android phone, they able to retain the no1 spot.. Choosing WP is okay.. But to get rid the meego and symbian is a bad choice..., Android is NOT OS that only can be used by certain company (e.g. iOS), the key here is, there're GROWING demand on people who want an Android device, and they would PREFER to stick to Nokia brand or WISH/HOPE there was a Nokia Android device. BUT... since there's NONE, even after waited for SO LONG, these Nokia supporters end up going to the other brands... Though, many are still staying around UNTILL somehow, no idea why, the CEO of Nokia decided to "announce" they will go WP route ONLY, and will kill off Symbian "soon" while MeeGo was aborted before even borned, and the announcement was made about 1 year before any Nokia Lumia is even available. What happen? Majority of Nokia customers left/jump/etc, and Samseng blooms with glory. It's funny to me, no matter how I see it, the announcement was like a big move to turn off many Nokia customers. Why need to announce before they even have any Lumia available? Why need to announce the death of Symbian so early? Why need to kill off MeeGo before it even gets to be born and see the light? It's all just too weird to me. Usually, the "common practice" is open 2 water taps, see which flows better and decide. But this? It's like Closing your current high flowing water tap, while your NEW water tap is NOT even ready until 1 year after. Anyway, YES, choosing WP is not an issue, BUT NOT, going single platform (only WP). I don't see any logical reason for them to go single platform (only WP), moreover, WP is not unique for Nokia, unlike iOS, which only available for Apple. Moreover, Nokia's unique Nokia Maps, is said to be built-in WP8, means Samseng/LG/HTC/etc will have it. So, soon to be called Microsoft Maps? Nokia used to cater for different market/category of users, they used to have many types of series, from Sports, Business, Tough/Rugged, Designer, Professional, etc. If they were to maintain their No. 1 spot, it means they should be able to cater and grab as much market as possible. By NOT wanting to adopt Android, which is so "obviously" growing fast since the time when they were deciding to choose WP, it obviously something very wrong with the decision. Any brand could see the potential of Androids. Just too bad..... Now Nokia is obviously suffering badly with WP, MS seems like taking Nokia for a ride as well; If they're truly working closely together and MS is considerate of Nokia, it wouldn't have give Nokia this BIG problem with their Lumias... Lumia 900 release not long, MS announce WP8 and NOT upgradable for current WP devices... That's a BIG hit and slaps to Nokia. Samseng/HTC/etc is obviously not pushing WP7 devices and focusing on Android devices... MS got no one to turn to... then somehow for some reason, Nokia decided to adopt WP7 and ditch their own child, and fully support on WP, very noble? |

True if Microsoft and Nokia indeed working together they should only give Nokia the privilege for wp to release on Nokia handset only. Nokia will shine very far but at the moment they seems working together but Nokia more like another vendor to them.
It's sad to hear finally rangers have come to an end that's why I was unable to get the 808 lol This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Sep 3 2012, 09:34 AM |

Very sad to see all the things happening to Nokia. If Samseng "round corners and shape" is called stealing, then what is Microsoft-Nokia? |

LOL Even if Nokia really come out with a better WP8, doesn't mean they will get much, because... they STILL only grabbing WP market, which is VERY SMALL. Moreover, WP is not unique to Nokia, even only compete in WP8, still have tough competition against others, not only Samseng.Today, Nokia maybe come out better one, in no time, others will come out even better ones, better specs, etc. Nokia will end up back to last time, playing the catch up game... See Sony, now they're doing much better now unlike Nokia. |

speaking of samsung, i jus remembered how it had also shamelessly ripped off blackberry and nokia n-series before the iphone, they are really a serial copycat or 'tracer' in my book.
And they are indeed samseng: http://www.kernelmag.com/features/report/3...ption-and-lies/ http://www.thenextweb.com/insider/2012/09/...hreatened-leave Added on September 3, 2012, 4:58 pmspeaking of battery life, this thing is really power-efficient even after hours of musics, browsing, exchange push, reading and running background apps. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by hox: Sep 3 2012, 04:58 PM |
