samsung just announced their wp8 phone.
so now instead of samsung vs apple, we're gonna see samsung vs nokia

That's not a phone, it's a Galaxy Camera. Plus, the sensor size is smaller than 808.
It's more like to compete with Nikon's very own Android camera, but they both launch around the same time, so it's more like planned for some time already.

As for Nokia's Sep 5... I wonder, probably want to announce PureView Lumia?
Else, for normal WP8. Let's be honest, will people choose a Samseng or Nokia? There will also be other choices...
The thing is, Nokia is NOT exclusive like Apple, where iOS is only available for Apple. You want iOS, you have to buy Apple products.
WP8? You can choices from different brand. Nokia focusing ONLY on WP8, is it a "smart" choice?


Samseng basically have various products competing with others. Competition is good, IF the other manufacturer's are trying to compete by coming up with more competitive products, pricing, specs. BUT, if they resort to patents war like "rounded corners", "shapes", etc.........
Phone back then have "antenna" on the outside, non-color screen, monophonic ringtones, etc. So, the first phone company who invent or come up with new ideas, should banned the rest from using the "idea" and technology? Please..... moreover, rounded corners and shape is not technology.... People can get custom icons through themes, and so on, so... why don't Apple go and sue those "themes" maker? Sorry, it's just utter-ridiculous.
If they're talking about real technology that is unique, then it's different story. Plus, giving something a new name doesn't make it an innovation or new idea/technology, e.g. "FaceTime", and so on; it's not new innovation or something that's new, but they're good at "re-branding" or "marketing".

as predict, wp8 all come with puny pv camera module... LOL

My N97 mini recently broke, thinking of buying 808 as a replacement and have been working part time since last month. Today, my father suddenly gave me a new Galaxy Tab 7.7. I was surprised and furious at the same time. Why did he bought it knowing that I was saving for 808. I remembered telling him how much I hate android phones. Sigh... major trolling at its best. the thousand he spend on that tab could help me get 808.

I just hate the fact that my father is so easily influenced to buy it since everyone is using it.
I prefer the old Symbian. Haha. Small kids nowadays will go crazy if they see Android phone and surely, will ask to play with it (24 hour) sigh .

Yup, that is exactly what I have to do. That is also why I kept feeling like my heart is torn out and stepped on so many times... as i said before, the money he spends on the tab could surely help me out getting the 808

they got some killer video stabilization in the new Lumia PureView!

I send to print 120pcs 4R size from my library for my family today. Half using iphone 4s half using pureview, i skip all those wasted ones with HTC ONE X and Nexus. i know this is awfully obvious because of pv being a much better camera but i didnt really expect to see such a big difference in term of quality as they are only 4R size.

Those with pureview have almost no noticeable noises, consistent quality throughout with very sharp details for both bright and low light. Whilst the 4S are mostly soft, very noticeable and muddy looking noises in low light and many are not in correct tapped focus. Its like looking at my non-retina macbook with the retina one, esp those in full 36mp. Printing out pureview photos really show how much better it actually is compared to other smartphones. It's hard to go back to lesser cameraphone unless i carry multiple devices, which i'll never do.

Yup, usually people looking only at their phone screen display. Once printed (especially printing original - usually print shop touch up before print), you can see much more and clearer differences.
Although print shop is another factor, but now it's printing at the same shop.

Samseng previous already announce they will launch WP8 and also hint at Nokia. It's not something new from Samseng anyway.
Plus, Samseng become so successful is majorly Nokia owns fault, or Elop? When they announce going WP route and ditching Symbians, killed MeeGo, etc. Majority of Nokia customers (especially Symbian) went off the Android, in this case, Samseng, and Nokia having NO OPTIONS for Android.
Just imagine if Nokia have their own Android devices, how many customers they could've keep and most probably still maintaining their No. 1 spot.
Moreover, imagine Nokia will have revive the N-GAGE in Android platform, their PureView Android device, their business series Android devices, their Sports series Android device, their Designer series Android device... They could've provided many different phones for different types of customers.

Before this they've stated that Android is one of the choices before they finally chose WP..

But you need to know, not all people like Android... Doesnt mean if they have the Android phone, they able to retain the no1 spot..

Choosing WP is okay.. But to get rid the meego and symbian is a bad choice...,
