Clon12, last time i wish to do a clean install, but end up i formatted whole drive including the recovery partition. The partition by default is GPT partition, therefore you cannot install the windows in the usual way.

Make sure you go study about how to install windows on a GPT partition, then only decide want to perform formatting or not.. I format my n56 becoz when i play game, jitters happen oftenly, PPS cannot stream with full speed, speaker gave me buzzing sound when i play music and doing programming at the same time.

what i found out is the pre-install windows cannot perform music playback with other process which need your harddisk or processor to do something at the same time, eg. Watching youtube gave me buzzing sound, WMP or other music player + browsing activities, open the windows explorer, click something. all also cause a buzzing sound to me).

after reformat the whole drive, all problems gone. Hope someone else can clarify as there are maybe other problem as well.

*This is my personal experience, just for reference.

I wish I saw this before I reformatted this morning. I tried using gparted to make a new partition and install windows but still it didn't work. I accidentally formatted my C drive even after I saw the "Windows cannot be install....". I had no choice but to try other ways but none seem to work. After hours of trials (basically 3-4 hours) solving this problem, I came into this conclusion that I have to use cmd from my windows installation disc and command a diskpart to clean my whole HDD. This is my last choice in order to regain my laptop back with Windows. The consequences? I lost all my data file in D too... now still figuring out a way to recover back the files.

At the time of speaking, I'm installing back all the drivers.... which is quite a fuss... After all this, I regret that I didn't backup my important files into my external first.

All this happened to me last time, accidentally formatted the C drive and try to restore using the recovery partition, a big ERROR msg, right? All files and data gone which is all my programming codes and assignments.. LOL~ Good luck bro, hope you find the wa to recover your lost data~ thumbup.gif

so do the resting area of your keypad feel hot ? is it because of the aluminum surface that cos de resting area to be that hot and uncomfortable...(i have cooler pad below my pc)

and..i dunno this is kinda weird...last week when i on the pc, there is a loud sound of fan coming out of the air vent (i assume that the fan?) but i oni heard once since i brought this pc 2 weeks ago... after i start the pc next day,the sound is gone, and the air come out of de air vent is low compare to the previous day.

mine when idling is around 50-55, once you run some applications, such as browser, immediately increase to 60+..
when gaming, Dirt 3, BF 3, it goes up to 80+..

no aircond, no cooler pad, just a table fan beside me...

air ventilation is loud, hot, and large volume of air flow.. once quit from the game, all back to normal within 5-10mins..

ur maxxaudio so nice :/ any idea how to fix it? my driver disc doesnt seem to have it
*
celee, maybe you can try with re-download the driver at Asus N56, choose the your model and select audio.
uninstall is recommended but you can just proceed to install without uninstall.
Hope it helps.
