N56 users
Windows Media Player: every time you open wmp, or right click to the song and open with wmp, do you see the optical tray loading (with sound and light)?

Non wmp: who uses other programs (jetaudio, winamp, mpc, vlc ...) can you control them with [fn + ►|| or |◄◄ ►►|]

You use N56 right?
1st: Every time you open the wmp, or open the song with it, you will see/hear the ODD loading ?
2nd: can you control other media players with multimedia keys ?

Wow, didn't know the thread grown so fast. Anyone did clean install of the windows and clear off all the bloatwares? I wanted to do so later cause its really annoying me, making all the lags. =/

any1 faced some delay in programme startup? for example, IDM, after i clicked need to wait for 30-40 seconds b4 it popped out, previously is the CHROME, haiz....i5 version

I seldom turn the volume about 60, and besides i didn't change any setting on audiomaxx before. Is it on all the time?

some asus utility got problem with OS and here what work for me:-

KBfilter z1003

the other driver seem not compatible, so hope someone can justify the status

Does anyone experience this? Using the shortcut media keys will bring up the player which will get you outta fullscreen or it just bring up the player on top. You then have to alt-tab back to the game or minimize the player. Its totally unnecessary to bring up the player. It's kinda annoying when I wanna play next song during fullscreen gaming. It just jump outta the fullscreen. Any help to disable this setting?

lalala, revert back the nvidia to the previous 1 then no more screen problem i think the latest version nt works well with the NEW BIOS i guess

Is ASUS reliable? My friend says that he bought the asus n55, and windows crashed 2 times in 2 weeks, and his hard drive crashed in 4 weeks. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with any asus laptop?

Ye but unfortunately ASUS told me that for them is perfect, and I bought it in August, so the vendor will not change it.
So as I said, lost 1000 €
