Long time owner of Asus N56VZ i5 version reporting. Still kicking strong, using it for music, surfing web, occasionally gaming. Upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro during the promotion time, still no issue with superb Asus website driver support.

friendly suggest upgrade to 8GB/16GB ram since current ddr3 is cheap.
and upgrade to SSD too since it will totally increase overall rendering process.

Hi , wanna ask G55VW and N56VZ which one is better?
Im going to buy a new laptop but wondering G55VW I7 FHD or N56VZ I7 FHD.
Does the sound of G55VW nice enough?

in term of performance - G55VW win - 3.8KG ++ include bag around 5KG
in term of weight - N56VZ win

and yes G55VW sound much better than N56VZ.

Just now i called up asus customer services to ask them where have stock for n56vz i7. They said whole malaysia no stock already, and there should be new n series replacement. Then he told me "From what i heard, the new n series should reach malaysia around may". He even ask me to check asus facebook page for latest news. I think the new n series replacement model should be N56VB with gt740 rather than gt650.

PS: i'm currently looking for n56 model also. But very hard to find. sad.gif

Seriously, gt 650m is weak to play gpu intensive games (tomb raider, Hitman, Far cry 3) at full HD resolution.

I can live with less vertical and horizontal pixels i.e. 1366x768 it is just the brightness and contrast that is quite dissapointing for such a multimedia laptop. sweat.gif

However, gt 650m rocks at 1366x768 rclxm9.gif

I think, 1920x1080 needs class of gtx 670mx/675mx at minimum to have a nice experience with medium-high graphic (depends on what games we play). But it can cost some of us an arms and legs, oh well rclxub.gif
