QUOTE
A young Bank Manager was brutally murdered in his house at Lorong 33A, Ulu Sg. Merah this morning at 1.30 am.

The victim, Stephen Wong Jing Kuok aged 31 married with a three year old son. He was slashed on his throat and other blunt injuries aimed at his head and his left arm.

Wong was  found lying on the floor near the bed when his wife was awaken by noises in the bedroom.

She saw someone running out of the bedroom while her husband told her to switch on the lights and called his uncle.

The wife saw her husband all bloodied and called the victim's uncle saying only help us, help us.

The uncle and his wife rushed to the scene and when the uncle went to his nephew, he was already dead.

The uncle told reporters that Wong's wife did not hear anyone coming into the room, only after her husband was lying on the floor she waken up.

He said Wong had gone out and returned at 11 pm, took a bath and went to sleep.

Wong's distraught wife was heard wailing in the house asking her husband why he left them as he had promised to bring them for a holiday in August.

Police who arrived at the scene found no forced entry but the back door was opened. Wong's wife was too distraught to tell if she had not lock the back door.

Wong's parents who went there after hearing the murder stayed in the car and weep and when the dead body was carried out, his mother shouted,

"Ah Ti, you should know who to go to take revenge,"

His young son who was being taken care by Wong's uncle refused to get into their car. He told the grand uncle that he has to stay and wait for the ambulance to come and save his father.

Police initial investigation said it was robbery but nothing can be verified stolen from the house.

Colleagues of Wong were too shock by the death. A manager said Wong was considered one of the most promising banker.

His promotion recently showed that he was the youngest person to take on a Managerial post at the multinational bank.

He joined the bank three years ago in the Marketing section and was promoted due to his hard work. The manager said they had lost a valuable staff.

Police and the Dog unit are combing the area looking for evidences.

Still doesn't add up. Normally you would immediately call police or ambulance if you see your family member injured badly, not call for nearby relatives. Plus, how often do thieves enter a house through door? Usually they climb through roof or window.

Bank branch manager killed by lone intruder, say Sibu police

SIBU, June 15 — Police believe a lone intruder killed the branch manager of a bank in a scuffle in his bedroom during a burglary attempt at about 1.30 am yesterday in Ulu Sungai Merah Road here, Sibu district police acting chief DSP Delly Beng said today.

This was based on the statement given by the widow of the dead man, Stephen Wong King Kui, 31, he told reporters after briefing State Minister of Local Government and Community Development Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh and Lanang MP Datuk Tiong Thai King on the case at the divisional police headquarters here.

“Our investigation showed that the intruder entered through the unlocked door of the kitchen on the ground floor before making his way to the bedroom where he chanced upon Wong.

“They were involved in a scuffle in the unlighted bedroom,” he said, adding that the victim’s wife saw the intruder.

He said police arrived at the house before 2am after receiving a call.

“We combed the house and the immediate surroundings of the housing estate but we failed to discover anything or the weapon used. But now we have some clues which we are working on,” he said.

Beng ruled out robbery, saying the investigation showed that nothing was taken from the house and that the intruder had come on a motorcycle at the back lane.

He said that when the police arrived, King Kui was still breathing but he was bleeding profusely from at least five stab wounds in the head and died shortly after.

Soon Koh said he had received many calls on the incident from members of the public here expressing their concern over security in the town.

“I appeal to the people not to be alarmed and not to speculate on the case. The police are working very hard and they have been doing a good job of looking after our security,” he said. — Bernama

There are so many versions of the stories about the wife's location during the killing that it is suspicious. Now the latest news seems to point to the fact that the kitchen door was opened for someone to do a job.

Till now, I could not pin point where the wife was during the murder...

If someone is hurt, first thing should be calling the police, but she called relatives first... She probably lied about her hubby asking her to call the uncle.

Police already said that the hubb placed all his wealth in his parents and son's name. None in hers...

Maybe he was wearing green hat. He already willed everything he had to his son and parents...nothing to the wife.
