i was wondering if anyone of you actually buy those hydraulic car carrier when u travel out , in case your tyre puncture? it's kinda bulky . The one supplied by the car manufacturer i find difficult to use bcos have to turn so many time manually with a metal bar. This can be dangerous when stall on the highway. Any suggestion to alternative method to change tyre in a shortest time?

If you have a flat in a dangerous area or soemwhere you cant change tyre safely.... drive to somewhere safe. U might ruin the rim... but that's slightly less troublesome then dying.

i don't like the one which the mechanic usually use, it's so big and bulky. sometimes when driving around the steep corner, can hear it roll at the back and hitting the car..

Keep a bottle of those temporary instant tyre repair filler. Then when ur stuck with a puncture in a deserted and dangerous looking place, just fill your tyre with it, drive away to a safer place then only change your tyre.

Call the Care line... Or stop a taxi and ask him to change for you...pay him abt RM20 bucks sure he take If the rims are light OK, some needs a lot of effort putting it on...especially at night or hot day. And ALWAYS PUT THE CAR KEYS, WALLET, PHONE whatever in your pockets when you are doing it. This post has been edited by azbro: Jun 15 2012, 02:51 PM
