just wondering, is there any charges for applying the MaxisFibre (Business) Public IP ?

switch to public IP need to addon RM10/month lol what a joke. remove the proxy should give discount instead of charging more.

The reason they charge is because ipv4 addresses are not cheap
ipv4 addresses have already ran out, so there are no more new ipv4 addresses

even amazon AWS is charging for it

Yeap, correct. IPv4 address limited la woi, price is only going up. Use IPv6 la, then won't have issue, no one is charging for that.

I didn’t follow the thread just wanna put this on the internet.

For those request public IP from maxis, you need to change your pppoe username to @public.maxis.com.my (instead of @home.maxis.com.my).
Wasted many hours of my life because Maxis expected me to know (or the CS wasn’t trained to inform me of the needed change)

Probably staff never trained to change ur pppoe details via ACS (aka their remote management)?
