For multipoint instant water heaters in Malaysia ranged 5kW and above, from what I know, there is only a handful of choices:

1. BEEBEST | No longer in business.
2. STIEBEL ELTRON (Shopee / Lazada) | Expensive due to its German brand, nearly double the price compared to local brand.
3. CENTON (Shopee / Lazada) | From Shopee, looks like they have the most sales and positive reviews for multipoint instant water heaters. Locally manufactured, so no issue with getting it serviced.


Key point to note if you want to install multipoint instant water heaters like the ones above:

1. High electrical component and wiring spec requirements | Since their power ratings are much higher compared to common instant water heaters, your MCB, switch, wirings, all have to be higher in spec (refer to the Suruhanjaya Tenaga guideline table below), and can be expensive to replace / upgrade if you are currently under-spec'ed. For these water heaters that are above 5.711kW for example, u have to use 6mm electrical cables from the DB box to the water heater. Imagine all the wall hacking needed to replace the cables if it is currently under-spec'ed.

2. Isolation Barriers (protects u from current leakage) and Pressure Relief Valve (protects the internal tank from extreme high water pressure, which might lead to leaking / explosion) have to be installed at the water heater's inlet and outlet for your own safety, also stated in the Suruhanjaya Tenaga guideline. CENTON's multipoint instant water heaters have already been pre-installed with these safety parts.

3. Not suitable for bathtub / jacuzzi | No matter what the salesperson say, no instant water heaters in the market will be hot enough for bathtub or jacuzzi usage, and unless u are expecting to use just lukewarm temperature in your bathtub (and worst still during raining season where the inlet water temperature is much colder), u should opt for storage water heaters instead.

And contrary to believe that storage water heaters are energy guzzling appliances, storage water heaters' energy consumption are not significantly higher than multipoint instant water heaters since the hot water generated by the storage water heaters are also much higher compared to multipoint instant water heaters (laws of thermodynamics). Best-selling storage water heaters online are also from CENTON (Shopee / Lazada).
