why come back in the 3rd day to danang when u can go straight to hue via the hai van pass
thn came back to danang on the remaining of your days and settled there...no need to move luggage again

u actually only need 1-2 days of driver only

for danang airport to hoi an, u can go to klook...there is a shuttle van there that can take u guys where u want to stay in hoi an
it's counted as per pax though or u can book a whole van there

travelling around hoi an, u don't need any car at all assuming u stayed within the city
it's all within walking distance

thn for the hoi an to hue trip via the legendary hai van pass, this part you'll need a driver

travelling around hoi an will need a half day van if u guys want to visit the tombs and pagoda and the imperial city

hue to danang, u can either charter a van or use bus...they use the tunnel to bypass the hai van pass, nothing interesting to see anyway

Thanks for the input.
Don't actually know how's the stay at Hoi an. Thinking of leaving Hoian after lunch then we can visit some area of interest like - Non Nuoc Stone carving & Pagoda, Marble Mountains on the way towards Danang. By the time we are finish it will be late in the evening. So we need to stay at Danang before going up north to Hue.

All this are not confirm yet, as is still in planning stages, that why need more input from season travellers like you.

mine is leave hoi an @ 8AM
by the time u reach hue, it would be like 4PM already

u can contact travel agencies for their hoi and to hue private charter
their itinerary are all the same except for their price only
they all swing by the same place which is marble moutain for instance all the way till the hai van pass thn till hue(your hotel)
hue to hoi an will pass by danang actually....hoi an to danang is like an hour away only if i remember

the company i used previously is http://www.transfertohoian.com/
55USD/car

That why we plan to stop for a day at Danang from hoi an then proceed to Hue the next day. As from Danang will take app. 2.5-3 hrs to Hue with the stop by/ slow drive at Hai Van pass for the scenic view.
The charges of 55Usd/car from Hoi an to Hue, inclusive the journey back? Is it a mini van which can seat app 6persons?

These are my itinerary to Danang, Hoi an & Hue

30th Sept – Hoi An
1st Oct – Hoi An
2nd Oct – Hoi An -> Hue
3rd Oct – Hue -> Da nang
4th Oct – Da nang
5th Oct – Da nang
6th Oct - Back

Day 1

Upon arrival at danang international airport, i took a Shuttle bus to Hoi an(this is the cheapest form of transport i can find to hoi an other than the troublesome bus)

After arriving at Hoi an, i checked into my hotel(Ivy hotel hoi an) and dropped my bags 1st, location wise is fantastic..it is just next to the ancient town and a stone away from the night market but some of it's appliances doesn't work and breakfast is just meh due to the number of people staying there

After dropping my bags, i walked to the nearest booth to purchased my entrance ticket for the ancient town
there are actually many entrance to the ancient town that is unguarded but you wouldn't want to be caught without a ticket when they requested for 1 when they doing spotcheck
the ticket is 120k VND and includes 4 ticket that enables you to enter any 4 of the many halls, temples and museum in hoi an..maps is provided to you alongside with the ticket
This is my view at the ticket booth(1 of the entrance/exit of ancient town)

After having my ticket, i walked to 09 Shoe Shop to custom made my working shoe, you can custom made many things that is leather in hoi an. From shoes, to jacket to hats to wallet and bags, they also custom made shirt, pants, suits, dresses.
I paid 1.7Mil VND for my shoes, it cost almost the same as shoes sold in branded shop but this is custom made to fit your feet and made using good quality leather, overall it's worth it

After having my feet measured, i walked to madam khanh to eat their banh mi for late lunch..it is said to be the 1 out of 2 most delicious banh mi in hoi an

Price is 20k/banh mi with everything in it

After finishing my banh mi, i stroll around 1 of the many streets in ancient town

After reaching the end, i decided to go to the mia coffee shop. It is said to be better than Hoi an roastery
Decided to kill some time here since it's almost 6PM already

After relax for awhile and finish my coffee, i walked back and the lanterns in town has started to light up which is extremely beautiful

For the entrance fee, do they limit the days of visit?
All the hotel that your are staying, did you book online or on that day itself?
From the photo on the online portal looks very new, brightly litted and comfortable. Appreciate your frank opinion on the hotel. 😁🙏

i still recommend directly go hue to minimize moving luggage

the 55USD/car is for 4 people per car, i initially ordered a sedan
but they came with a toyota fortuner laugh.gif ...way out of my expectation
and it's only 1 way from hoi an to hue
u can try request a van from there, see what they quote u, this agency offered me the best price among all that i've searched

Just got to know a local tour agency thru a friend, will ask about the pricing on transportation and tour around Hue, Hoi An and Danang.

Still appreciate your knowledge on the places.

Not much people interested on this vacation in Danang, as not much feed back from others.
It's quite happening there for a few years already.

For Bana Hill & Dragon Bridge - Better buy package from Klook

From Danang to Hue you can try to engage a private driver for a whole day. As you will be moving up north from 8am, going via the Hai Van pass and stopping for photo as well. By the time you reach Hue it will be like 11am to 12noon, just in time for you to have lunch or maybe check in your hotel then to the 3 tombs.
Or you can go directly to the 3 tombs after Hai Van pass.
For Imperial City, it's Huge if all are young and energetic you can walk, if not better buy a buggy service.

Hoi an it's Free & Easy, just beware on the night market prices on food and drinks it's very expensive.
