hello all.. im a newbie in exhaust and i basically dont know anything,

my ride satria neo 1.6 auto. so recently my catcon cracked and leak. so forcing me to changed it.

so i decided to change the extractor to 4-2-1, but only until middle section my muffler and silencer still remain the same.

my question is. when my rpm around 2000 it sound like leak, noise like turbo spooling.. but i have no turbo. isit my backend dont support this extractor or this because it have some leak on the welding? according to my brother, who send the car to workshop that is because my back-end doesnt support the new extractor and there is not enough exhaust circulation. how true is this?

it's the extractor's quality issue...

Sounds liek someone tryign to con you into changing full system.

Changing extractor only shouldnt give u the problem u are facing... then again very hard to give u accurate advice without listening to the actual noise..

should i go to another exhaust shop myself and get it checked? if it was the extractor quality issue how can solve this? change to a new one?

U have a leak. The welding they did is not good. I have the same problem before. Only its different car. Change shop to check the welding for leaks and they found it. Later the whistling sound not more.

rear muffler ori is blockage

yea could be .. this probaby the issue.. will go to another shop this weekend and let see how it goes

i think u are right too.. my catcon crack most possibly it blocked.. and it could be the muffler blocked too.. let see above method first if it wont solve it.. i think this is the case

You did not replace the catcon right?

hmm previously 4-1 short with bold on cat con. so i change it to 4-2-1 long... totally remove the cat con and without cat con now

that sound from exhaust. just change ur exhaust, because i also experienced that after i removed cat con for my neo cps.

if front sound "zzzzz" like leaking, its actually not leaking. common for most if change from ori to extractor.

ur ori rear muffler shld sound slight noisy "like empty sound" bcoz w/o the ori CAT, the exhaust flow is much higher/faster..
to reduce this, selecting the correct center box is very important.

if u r from pj, mayb i can recommend u to my regular shop. no obligation just to have him check for u..

really? isit normal. but it only occur when im a bit hard on the padel and it goes to 2k rpm. and when idle the 'air' from the muffler just dont fell right. because previously i remember it much greater.. i mean the air get out from the muffler ...

4-2-1 is ok!

you must replace your CAT or Bullet (else your car feel like no power, and FC rise)

muffler should not be a problem now.

My exp: 4-1 with De-Catcon = sound slightly increase

4-2-1 with De-Catcon = sound like farting... in the cabin.

I have the same issue as yours...

IT seems the explaination given was the sound is knocking of stainless steel against steel sound worr...

mine not knocking or increase in sound.. well maybe increase a bit.. but what annoy me the sound like turbo.. like "izzzzz" when i press a bit hard..

car much better respond then it used to be with 4-1(catcon) but 2 thing bother me the sound and the amount of air coming out at the back of it

I use Neo also..change only extractor and yes got sound like zzzzzzz when rev, but not on idle. In satrianeoclub forum they say its normal

really? have u try to get it checked? can u provide link of that discussion please? yes mine also not on idle. and are u still use on standard from center to end?

Sorry no link coz i cannot enter that forum anymore... last 2 years it was open to public but now need to pay annual fee to get access. As i remember one of the member there say change exhaust will solve it but I dont know as I never try

I removed the stock extractor, and replace with a 4-2-1 extractor, and add on center bullet just after the extractor. Other I stay stock.
Already 2 years like that, no problem for now
