Is there a noticeable difference between hd(1366x768) and full-hd(1920x1080) on 15 inch laptop?

This beast is perfect if it comes with full hd resolution.

Yes, the difference is extremely tangible unfortunately sad.gif
Well, you can still consider the MSI GE60 and Asus G55vw, even though their more expensive...
Otherwise, just get this, and pair it up with a good external monitor~
The GPU in this beast is quite capable  thumbup.gif
I was told that we can hardly notice the difference between HD and Full-HD on a 15 inch monitor though unless you're processing some really high-resolution pictures.
Just hope that lenovo will release the model with a Full-HD variant.

How much you bought that unit for? From which seller?
The FHD variant that seller is selling @ RM2999, quite attractive I'd say.

I just called Lenovo Malaysia to see if the warranty of the US unit can be extended, guess what?
They said "US version of Y580 is not covered by Lenovo Malaysia".
When I asked why the seller states that unit comes with 1 year international warranty, the officer said "Maybe in other countries?". sweat.gif
All the units selling in garage sales are local units or what? (Now I only realize the units selling in garage sales now are from China)

Lenovo Malaysia Hi guys! Great news, the Lenovo Y580 Full HD with 1920x1080 resolution will be coming to Malaysia! However we cannot at this point confirm an exact date of release, it should be sometime in July! Please stay tuned for more updates on this, and thank you for being so patient so far smile.gif

Holy Cow!
I just made up my mind to get one at the upcoming pc fair @ KLCC.
Now I have to wait again rclxub.gif
I don't think that we will be seeing FHD variant of Y580 at KLCC but let's hope that we will.

i think if im really doing all tht i'll be at home and an external monitor will serve me quite well with cheaper price..after all 23'' only 500+ only
*
Now I am still thinking to get either HD or FHD, have to see to compare.
'Cause I think I am not going to use the laptop to watch bluray as my PS3 will do the job.
But if the screen difference is big, I will go for FHD.
Worth it or not? We shall know soon.

International warranty but Lenovo Malaysia doesn't cover it?  hmm.gif

Erm...I called Lenovo Malaysia and they said US sets are not covered by Lenovo Malaysia.
Actually I posted this before.
So IMO don't get US set, better safe than sorry.

i tried the fhd game with gtx660m i think it work pretty well and really nice.. hehe but i not sure on other ppl look at it..
yes only y580 hv fhd but not y480... and yes indeed hd is very good enough for gaming ady.. you wont notice much on such a smaller screen size unless u r getting a very big screen only u will notice the difference... tongue.gif

I'm waiting for FHD to be released.
Then I will see the screen to decide to go for either HD or FHD.
I won't be using my laptop to watch bluray though, I will use PS3 instead. tongue.gif
