According to what's say, airflow inside the Y580/480 really need to take in count. anyway if u stay in a hot temp bedroom without any AC.... what's your lappy suck in still hot air...

i think theres one seller at garage sales selling fhd at 2999..duno whether its true or not..

Also,the chinese guy take off the sponge which is suppose to reduce shock to the hdd which i think is quite bad for the hdd..
Also,the thing he did is to cool down the palm area of the laptop..

Practically i think its a good thing to manage the airflow of the notebook but on the other hand i doubt many will want to open so many holes on their beloved notebook..

I think that price is got it from US, as what we call AP set, the warranty is just only 1 year which is international warranty.

After watch this video the resolution really does not affect much,only the settings

are important .....Since GTX 660 cant handle well in 1080p,so i thinks just get the HD ver is enough for gaming imo 

I think FHD only for Y580? Correct me if wrong...

You got the point.. Actually HD is enough for gaming... If you are going to watch a lot 1080 movies then go for FHD... That's why Y580 come with bluray    But for me i better watch bluray movies on the TV

LOl, i think most of u wrong interpret it =)

1) currently , lenovo malaysia offer 2 year warranty for selected model (Malaysia official Set  = u310 (i5 processor), u410 (i5 processor)  ,z480, y480, y580. its obtain global warranty-also included local warranty

2) means , if any happen, within this 2 years (start of date purchase) , you can send the item to Lenovo Malaysia for warranty claim

3) when u travel to oversea such as US, you may show out the proof of purchase -and claim warranty in there

4) about they dont cover international warranty = its apply on those AP set ( mostly USA set / non Malaysia official Set ) only, means if you bought AP set, you could not claim warranty in Lenovo Malaysia because the unit is non official set . why ? as you can not show valid invoice ( if the unit is US set, u need show invoice from US -example you buy from wall mart...etc..) how funny if you show local reseller invoice while your unit is AP set, right ??
