lenovo Y580, does it have the 1080P Display variant?
Lenovo Malaysia: "the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 does not have a 1080p display variant model, it currently comes with at 15.6" WLED screen!"

Is Lenovo Y580 out in shops already? Saw Lenovo's advertisement in The Star. And if it is, which shop can we get it from? Thank you!

1366x768 or 1600x900 or 1920x1080 or ???????
i know based on the advert it is HD, but i wanna know its max reso

a simple google would give you an answer. But to make your life easier, its 1366x768

lenovo y580 RM3399,with 2 year warranty (thinking extand to 3 year warranty if suit my budget)

3399-3221=RM179

Conclusion me hard decide to buy which one~ Super Max Budget RM3500(At 1st my budget start 2.5k) ,previously asked the buying laptop thread here end up choosing 15r se FHD ,but now this beast is coming make me itchy FXXK!!!!

i guess it's depend on whether u wanna that sharper screen or not.. if u dun mind just take 15r. but as for now, will prob wait till who knows, y580 can change to FHD screen

i'm not sure if 1tb 7200rpm HDD exists, or is it a typo. I can't see any high end laptop using it either.
blue-ray drive, it depends on if you need to use it
the lenovo has a more powerful CPU( althought they differ a little bit only) and GPU
the dell has 32gb msata SSD also, which will be used as caching drive.

it depends on your preference after all, if you will game a lot in the future, then consider getting lenovo

you can wait and see if lenovo release y580 with FREEDOS and install ahem version of windows :\

Actually im not really watch movie in FHD, only watch video from PPS and other china video streaming software (actually watch anime )

More into diablo 3 ,dota ,starcraft , some rpg assassin creed ,kingdom of amalur and etc.....

I cant play fps games such as mass effect ,battle field ,and all sort third person shooter blablabla,
all these games may cause me ,so 100% will not in these games~

1366 x 768 enuf for diablo 3 on Y580. FHD......maybe for those photographer. Editor. Photoshop. Get Y580 la.

will do benchmark of some game for you when i receive my 15r se FHD this friday

btw can you confirm if the HDD is 5400rpm or 7200 rpm?
even alienware laptop isn't using 7200rpm hdd, and I can't find any laptop 1tb hdd 7200rpm over google
