Just don't have the opportunity to dyno the car... Huhuhu

My last full tank can go 780KM, Shell ron95.

My Average FC is 9.2l/100Km

To me that's fine already. After 1k service damn the car driving experience is better.  thumbup.gif

actually NCB cancellation can also be done later as in my case. you pay full for the new car. they after get only go cancel the old insurance policy. they will refund you the money for the old policy. then you bring the cancellation letter to the new insurance and they will refund you back also base on your previous NCB
*
Yeah, correct. I did that when traded in my old car. smile.gif

Hi guys, I just back from COSE, appointment at 9.30am, collected car at 4.30pm. Still some problems need to be fixed. Currently COSE has run out of spare parts according to the CAT team, I met them and told them my car's problems. Below are the questions I asked:

1. Is the sound "woo woo woo..." normal when release pedal and car moving slow?
Answer: Yes, CAT team said it was the CVT sound.

2. Sometimes heard the sound "glu glu glu" when braking at speed 80km/h or above.
Answer: CAT team said it could be the ABS sound; unless the streering is shaking then it could be the disc brake problem. hmm.gif

3. Engine sound "cek cek cek.." during cold start.
Answer: Suspect the one way valve problem, need further inspection. CAT team will order the spare part.

4. Wind noise at front & back during speeding at 80km/h or above.
Answer: Well known issue and they are waiting for their vendor to come out better solution for this; and may be will recall all the preve owners to change the rubber.

5. Alignment run to left.
Answer: Tuned but i still feel it align to left a bit.

6. Dashboard rattling when press hard on pedal.
Answer: I guess it was fixed, no rattling sound being heard when travel back from COSE.

7. Gear light looks very dim
Answer: NO FIX for this. All the preve has the same gear light. shocking.gif

May need back to COSE by next week again to fix the those issues when spare parts ready.
BTW, nice to meet you KC2002 today, hows your car?

Forgot to mention, I also voiced out the car FC seems a bit high, before this average 10.1 to 10.5 and never get below 10. I guess they had tuned something as my latest average reading is 9.5. rclxms.gif

QUOTE(kongyw @ Jun 15 2012, 09:15 PM)
I was also at COSE today WRT the wind noise, from about 10:30 onwards. At around 4pm the SA informed me that I need to leave the car overnight with them to carry out some tests. Asked further if they can get it done by tomorrow and she could not promise me anything... told her that I will need the car by tomorrow or else I will not be able to get to my office next Monday. She told me they will try....

So based on what they have explained to you, I guess leaving my car there is pointless since there is not ready fix at this moment.

And another thing, during my first 1K service (23/5), I shown the SA 3 spots where the paint chipped off, not very noticeable, the SA took some photos and sent to Proton for approval for touch up. Guess what? Till now still waiting for for approval....
*
I see. Ya, they are quite slow & more & more preve cars coming to service & also making complaints.

At first, the SA also told me the same thing i.e. may need to leave the car for further inspection. But then later the CAT team told me that no point to leave my car over there as it already friday & no spare parts.

I met the CAT team twice (morning once & when collect my car), and tested drive my car together with them.

I guess depend on what problem(s) that you are facing with your car, no point to leave your over there; unless it is a one way valve issue, FC problems, etc.

Added on June 15, 2012, 9:32 pm** I guess they also remap the ECU or reset the settings on my car as my HU asking me to enter the PIN again.

The SAs should have been in sync with the CAT team in the first place. Now I only have one car to use at home and still have to make a trip there to collect the car without having the problem resolved. Really wasted my time.
*
My SA even worst, he just handed over my case to CAT team, let me alone to deal with them then he just walk away.
He totally did not follow up my case and never update me about my car status whether my car is done or not. When I back to COSE, could not even find him. mad.gif

If they fix your battery, you will know bro, your HU will be locked and asked you to re-enter pin code. The clock had been reset. The trip meter also reset (though not sure if this is cause by battery of engine tuning). For my case, my folding side mirrors also out of sync (not folding when lock the car, not unfold when press the button, but can easily fix).
*
Oh, my HU got asked me to enter the PIN again, trip meter reset and the side mirrors also out of sync already.
They had done something on the battery...may be they tuned the engine? because I did mention to them the FC of my car quite high.
Have to go back to SC to get it fix?

Hi,

FOR those who solved the OWV problem, may i know which SC you guys go to and how many days you need to leave the car there?

and are you satisfied with the results?

I am from Kepong and planing to settle my OWV problem at any SC either in KL or Selangor area. Looking for an experienced SC.

I try not to leave my car there if it is just because of waiting for spare parts only or with the runaway Service Advisor..sweat.gif
thanks guys.. cheers.gif
*
I will suggest you to go COSE to check the OWV problem as the CAT team is over there specially handling preve car.
Other SC has no such expertise to handle OWV and the FC problems.
I do not know how many days it going to take to fix the OWV issue but I being told by the CAT team that it going to take few days shocking.gif
For your information, COSE now also run out of spare parts for preve...I also waiting for the spare parts arrive in order to solve the OWV problems.

Mind sharing how you know you have OWV problem?
How frequent?
*
Engine got the "cek cek cek.." sound during cold start i guess; it happened to me few times.
I told the CAT team about this engine noise this morning, they said suspect it is OWV problem & need further inspection.

QUOTE(duan @ Jun 16 2012, 12:11 AM)
@wewanwang do you wait full day at CoSE today?

OWV they have to open your cylinder head. the valve located in between cylinder block and cylinder head i think.
*
I had the appointment with COSE at 9.30am, then 10 something the service advisor brought me to CAT team and asked me to have test drive my car together with them; and explained to them whats the problems that my car facing.

After that, I went out for meeting during lunch time and back to COSE at 4pm to check whether my car is done. Then, the CAT team again asked me to drive one more round, tested the gluk gluk sound & ABS (drifting).

Lastly, the CAT team said they will order the spare parts and gave me his contact no to make appointment in case the spare parts arrived. smile.gif

I guess few things they had been done:
- tune the alignment
- done something on the battery or tuned the engine as i found that the HU need to enter the PIN again, trip meter reset, side mirrors not sync
- FC now getting average 9.5l/100km, before this never get lower than 10.

QUOTE(fulat @ Jun 17 2012, 05:22 PM)
there is a seller selling this at kl. the rest are from JB or penang. so i manage place my order yesterday and i meet the seller around 3pm at pj. went inside his car which applied this rubber. wow~ u can heard almost nothing from outside. only the engine sound and HU sound inside. i will give some review later after apply. if its good. i will ask him to give  reasonable discount to all preve owner. of coz... some discount will be given to preve owner here.
i will. if this things work. i will recommend him for all he owner here. as i have wanted to make the 4 doors and bonnet parts.. seller did give me some discount.

its not only for wind noise... for the noise outside of the car like super bike or trailer drive by. it help u to isolate noise from outside too... so u can have less disturbant from outside
i believe this can solve all the wind noise when speed up too... isolate the noise will lead to lower hu volume. tighten up all possible air con leak will maintain cooler air inside. all this will also lead to energy saving... :-D
*
Sound nice. Pls do write us your review here.
U going to install all these at your own or the seller will help u to install?
Someone posted this info earlier, feel interest to order too but no idea how to install and how long need to order.
Btw, can u list down what size & how many meters u ordered? Thx bro.
