Hate it when car company reserve the manual stick shift tranny for the cheaper option for "poor people".

QUOTE(Pokeman @ Jun 12 2012, 09:38 PM) Toy? only Sotongman/Shemale said that.. Paddle shift is a WEAPON.... tap tap...to lower the gear within 0.5 second.. then to speed up the machine within few second..tap tap... here you go 200km/h in your hand... at that time shemale still want to use gear knob, because it is said that sequence feels so artificial... Nice nice.. Tap tap 200km/h.. If it's a DCT makes it more appropriate.. Staggered speed change on a CVT just feels very artificial.. I comment here in peace, stating my opinion.. QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Jun 12 2012, 09:40 PM) Anytime bro. Huh, u still around eh? Long time no see ur comment other than "paddle shift felt like toy" since v3/v4 despite the fact that I didn't hear any true owners here complaining about that.. Plus, with Malaysian roads, where can u actually have time to play around with it unless u're on h.way? Hoping to get constructive feedback/discussion. But most of you here just can't take comments and easily butthurt.. Pity..

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 12 2012, 09:55 PM) Sensation is one thing, efficiency is another. As long as it works, and it puts manual control in the driver's hand, artificial or not is irrelevant. Both Preve and Inspira uses CVT with paddle shift, so both also useless? Paddle shift on a DCT makes sense, but that doesn't mean it is the one and only worthy application. I reply to your post in peace as well Thanks. This is the sort of reply I'm looking for. Not just a child-like reply For me, if Proton no put paddle shift, people will complain, a lot. And I see this as a marketing strategy to attract buyers. With this, Preve's value is considered higher with all the techs and gizmos it has with a such nice price bracket.

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Jun 12 2012, 09:58 PM) Dude It's not that we cannot have a constructive discussion in here. You are entitled to your own comment. I have no doubt on that. But after 2 months, u came here again and still stick to ur story of "Preve paddle-shift feels like a toy after I TESTED WITH TEST DRIVE UNIT".. Come on! Or izzit u think ppl will just forget? If you read carefully, I made that comment specifically after one of the forumer said (not a direct quote, but close) "Wah, feels like playing at arcade lor".. And that's when I comment.. Arcade = game = artificial.. That's all..Ppl in here, true owners of this very own car didn't butthurt as much as u regarding the Paddle shift. Plus, not all here are automotive engineer/racing enthusiast to know & compare preve paddle shift feels like what. Unless u go in Ferrari thread & complaint, its more logical isn't it? U still didn't answer where in Malaysia where ppl bought this car mostly due to its safety features rather than its speed, think can speed up & fully utilize the paddle shift to 'feel' whether it's artificial or not? Maybe I was hoping more. Or maybe I thought can be more responsive like... Maybe I don't know... Inspira, perhaps? Most people bought this car because of value for money, it's undeniable. But minority of you still worship that 'tap tap' and act it like the best invention ever after the wheel..
If I bought one car with paddle shift, I also will minimally utilize it because of KL's traffic..Replied. I have been a silent reader in this thread for a long time already. If I'm a troll, I'll be smart enough to use a dupe.. Cheers..

QUOTE(Junn @ Jun 12 2012, 10:10 PM) Hmm, now that you mention it does feels like a game controller, I seldom use it anyway, still haven't know how to control it properly to get the best FC. If it's me, I just leave it there and let the CVT does the work.

QUOTE(Junn @ Jun 12 2012, 10:12 PM) I don't think there are lots of us who worship it, and we do agree the Inspira one felt better. Cheers man That's why I said 'minority' in my last post. Hehe..

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Jun 12 2012, 10:23 PM) I know that you're not a troll and mind u not all of us here worship our paddle shift either. Saw many ppl excited getting this car, just gave them the chance to drive they quickly shift to S / manual mode without thinking trying to paddle shift all the way without thinking about the FC as well as their safety. Don't get so butthurt when u heard some of us here claim with paddle shift we can just "tap tap" our way & overtake other ppl or reach max speed edy. They're just excited with their ride. Sorry if what I said earlier seems kinda harsh/butthurt but what I'm emphasizing here, not all of us are able to differentiate/appreciate the true feeling of paddle shift. Unlike dares, Junn here, or maybe mat79, duan or anybody else who seems to have a wide knowledge regarding car, I believe u'll find most of us here just bought this car with hope that everything is functioning properly as well as provide them with a little bit more safety compared to others. This is all however my 2 cents only. Cheers mate Unfortunately test drove the new inspira (the one they reduced the price to boost their selling number). Felt more or less the same at least to me who's not pro. No hard feeling bro. Kinda tumpang excitedhappy for you guys also in getting the car process and all those fucuk2 i-care and SA story..
