Actually, what this guys been talking is what the CAT team at CoSE told me last month when I went there to change my rear tail lamp. So when I see this link, I'm glad that the CAT team doesn't bullcrap me. brows.gif

Read the breaking-in page some time back. Lenjan my Preve before 1K service already smile.gif Now 'trying' to reap the rewards of a good break-in... but nothing very good at the moment sad.gif Still doing 300KM/RM50 average, mix-mode. Best I got was 400KM/RM50 on mostly-highway drive...

Agreed bro

Just don't have the opportunity to dyno the car... Huhuhu

My last full tank can go 780KM, Shell ron95.

My Average FC is 9.2l/100Km

To me that's fine already. After 1k service damn the car driving experience is better.  thumbup.gif
*
My 'AVERAGE' meter shows 8.5L/100KM, but average speed = 45KM/H. Will long-press reset this counter also?
I just switched from Shell to Petronas... wanna see if there's any difference in mileage biggrin.gif Might continue for about 3 fill-ups and see...

If 8.5km/100L, u can throw your car into sea.

Does anyone experience, when you stop your car without turn off your engine and waiting for someone somewhere at night around 10-15mins, your HU light will be brighter or darker once a while after 2-3mins?

If you switch on your front driver roof light, it will happen the same brighter and darker and brighter and darker after 2-3 mins?
*
If you listen closely, you'll realize it happens when the A/C compressor engages. Yes, I have this issue too. I'm going to the SC later this morning and ask them if there's anything that can be done. Worst case, I might end up installing a capacitor bank to dampen the effect. No choice sad.gif

Also, then the A/C disengages, my idle swings up & down erratically. Sometimes, it stabilizes after a few cycles, sometimes more. Since I drive a manual, I've had the car stall several times before this. Very embarrassing-lah! sad.gif Like amateur driver tongue.gif

morning guys, my preve got some thing not right...

yesterday evening, in peak of jalan dewan bahasa traffic jam, my car suddenly turn off by itself.. lucky the traffic is totally not moving.. once its turn off, i shift gear to p and pedal on brake press start again(without problem is start back to normal)..
actually this is 2nd time happen.. 1st on parking site few days ago (i tod im accidently press off button).. the odo just reach 800km, next monday plan to 1k service.. now takut2 d..

anyone facing same issue as me?
*
I have an idling issue that caused the car to stall when I'm just about to move and the A/C disengages. Apparently, then the A/C disengages, the idling goes up & down erratically. This + the low revs when launching caused my car to stall, several times sad.gif

I drive a manual by the way.

Anyway, guys, I need a favour from everyone. I went to the service center yesterday complaining that when I wind the driver's side window all the way up, the door trim seems to move out a little, like something pushing from the inside the door trim. The SC said ALL Preve's have this issue. Do you guys have a similar issue? unsure.gif

S**t! My SC also didn't tell me the alignment free before 1000KM! mad.gif Now have to pay. My car runs off to the left a little... sad.gif

dafuq...they say normal...how come mad.gif

QUOTE(archiq @ Jun 15 2012, 10:21 AM)
i already ask the SC about the door and they say it's normal...

btw, u still can get the alignment and balancing for free after reaching 1000 km.. yesterday I go to COE for 1k service, my odo already 12xx km and they do the alignment even I'm not asking them to do it...
*

Looks like I'm not alone sad.gif I'm not sure if this is causing the irritating wind-noise at high speed or overall the wind-noise proofing is bad. I can here wind noise @ highway speeds & it's ANNOYING! vmad.gif The more disturbing thing is, when the window winds down down, there's a loud "thud" sound, as if the window and door were wedged together tightly. You guys hear this too, right? unsure.gif

Here's another interesting story. My manual gearbox produces a kind of "tak... tak... tak" sound whenever I'm idling after a long drive. I presume this sound is only audible when the gearbox is properly heated up. When I depress the clutch, the sound disappears. It's similar to my old Saga when it had a clutch bearing problem. Again, the SC said is 'normal' for this type of gearbox! mad.gif Not sure if they are dumb or just avoiding the issue OR this is another one of thos 'normal' faults all manual Preve owners have. Anyone with this issue as well? unsure.gif

Is there any person to contact in proton to ask this is normal or not

I went to the SC and they called up HQ for the information, or at least that's what they claimed.

i think yes...so what countermeasure the SC can do?  blush.gif
*
Tell the driver "it's normal"? I don't know... they have been pretty good at blaming the factory/HQ/designers so far. Maybe they can find someone else to blame?!

vmad.gif

Is there any way we can ask Proton to confirm that all the "this is normal" cases are ACTUALLY normal? If I can get a statement from them, enough already brows.gif

I have just called CAT team & confirmed with them that the Driver Side's Door Trim WILL POP UP a bit due to their mechanism therefore it's normal.
*
How did you contact them?! I'd like to ask them about the gearbox noise... this is the most worrying issue I have for now. No one's acknowledging it at the moment sad.gif
...unless you can help me with this question too? wub.gif

Went to Senawang SC today after driving from Malacca. Walked in, told them my gearbox got 'tak... tak... tak...' noise when idling. Press clutch & it disappears (this is my 2nd attempt tongue.gif ). Finally got a mechanic to come out, check and FINALLY they acknowledged! :yay: I hope I get a new gearbox soon biggrin.gif

Yup... mine stick-shift thumbup.gif
No-lah... they never mention they will change gearbox... I'm just hoping tongue.gif But realistically, they might just swap-out the clutch bearing. That's the only issue I have. The good part is, I'll be getting a free gear oil change (I think unsure.gif )!

What's the point? The guy who made the bearing in another side of the world, the guy who assembled somewhere else, the QC fellow is pretty much hopeless I guess, the SA has nothing to do with the assembly process. They have not visualized the concept of 'ownership', so it's a total waste of energy 'fucuk'-ing anyone over here. I'd rather take things one step at a time and get it fixed instead of screaming pointlessly and making enemies of everyone. In the end, I'd get what I want, right? biggrin.gif
