This is rattling sound from the shut-off gate.
Try shut and aircond a little bit, or half, or even all the way off, you will notice the sound disappeared. smile.gif

QUOTE(Rick Federer @ Jun 15 2012, 05:03 PM)
Yup, they are calling us to do a first 1k service without informing about this issue. They prefer not to mention which batch. Anyway, I am happy they called.  They already have the spare part on hand. No need to issue order form and wait for parts to be delivered.
*
They never call me at all... I went to service because my mileage already over 1K.

Once there, I did not complain anything about battery nor engine problem. When ready to collect my car, I simply said this car FC quite high and the service adviser told me they already did the engine tuning for me, some more *not so clear what he said* the battery for me free of charge. sweat.gif

QUOTE(maverickng @ Jun 15 2012, 05:15 PM)
then how i know thier already fix it at 1k service...cos they never mention anything at the bill there
*
If they fix your battery, you will know bro, your HU will be locked and asked you to re-enter pin code. The clock had been reset. The trip meter also reset (though not sure if this is cause by battery of engine tuning). For my case, my folding side mirrors also out of sync (not folding when lock the car, not unfold when press the button, but can easily fix).

QUOTE(archiq @ Jun 15 2012, 05:56 PM)
u think ur worse? mine even worser (if there such a word)... I'm only got proton silver keychain & proton logo perfume (hanging at my mirror)... and also got only RM40 for fuel... u're lucky can claim back RM100 for the fuel...
but for me, the proud feeling of owning my preve is far outweigh all the free gift that ur or my SA can give... and even happier after owning for about 3 weeks, still doesn't have any major issues that need to put the car to sleep at SC for 2-3 days..  smile.gif
*
If yours are worser, then mine worsest! laugh.gif
I don't have perfume, only full tank and a keychain. cry.gif

*
Bro, I think your mug cost more than my small keychain right? laugh.gif
I only got full tank and this sad.gif :

Oh, my HU got asked me to enter the PIN again, trip meter reset and the side mirrors also out of sync already.
They had done something on the battery...may be they tuned the engine? because I did mention to them the FC of my car quite high.
Have to go back to SC to get it fix?
*
Honestly, I really not sure, but since I did not mentioned battery and engine tuning but they still did it for me, I believe yours should also RECALL COMPLETED. biggrin.gif

My car fuel consumption was almost abang adik with your car.

This make me a little scared and wonder if my engine also have the same problem? ohmy.gif
Tried talked to service adviser there and his answer was: can't compare and get accurate reading with city driving.

QUOTE(archiq @ Jun 15 2012, 11:50 PM)
woww.. ur keychain is much nicer and exclusive than mine.. my keychain is just a piece of metal with word "PROTON" painted in chrome... i saw ur keychain at COE and it's quite pricey...
*
To be exact, this keychain was me requested the time I collect my car. But that time was too late, the office clerk gone home (she got the key to open the display shelf). SA ask me to see him the next day, and really, he already got the keychain in his car but too busy can't send to me. blush.gif

QUOTE(Rick Federer @ Jun 15 2012, 11:56 PM)
There's a part number and the item is called battery handle. You will see the full details in my Service Review tomorrow afternoon.

Yes I can confirm, my service sheet also got this "battery handle" item. nod.gif

QUOTE(earthdome @ Jun 15 2012, 11:57 PM)
are the files heavy? how many MB? i'm interested  too. mind PMing me? thanks!
*
It is 401 files in 28 folders, total size is 96.4MB.
In fact I explored the SD card the 2nd car I got the car, but find no way to do anything to it.
Wish our expert could come out with something. wub.gif

QUOTE(Rick Federer @ Jun 16 2012, 12:23 AM)
when I lock my car now, the side mirrors do not close in sync. The left close faster than the right. How you fix that bro?
*
Mine don't have this left right out of sync problem, have no idea how to fix it.
Maybe ask FenomX to twist it like he did to his car? laugh.gif
Sorry, just kidding, but for me, I would ask the mechanic to help fix it in next service. smile.gif

By default, new valve doesn't leaks...
Agreed
Yes... Stress on the tyre wall would highly increase.
Especially when those ppl whom collect their car and go on a long journey out station, balik kampung etc. the heat in the tyre will increase the pressure in the tyre and sufficient to explode the tyre.
Imagine mine was 60psi. 20% up on a journey to Penang wil make it 70-80psi...
*
I am more afraid if we drive an overinflated tyres' car to Genting or Cameron Highlands.
If you brought potato chips up there, the packaging bag will expand like hell, then how's our overinflated tyres? shocking.gif

Another update from me is that through a source, I was able to source a carbon type aircon dust filter. I will help him get the correct sizing and the first batch is expected to be around RM70-80. Please add your name below if you would be interested in the first group buy. Thanks..

[attachmentid=2897117]

Hi WhitE LighteR, is the carbon filter a "paper" type?
If it is paper, then will it weaken the air?
I am interest, but only worry about blow air with reduced power. smile.gif

Good morning all..at Cameron highland now....yesterday drove my Preve here. .this car damn powerful...use D enugh to climb up hill and use S when want overtake .. Handling is superb as well compared to my previous H City. .
*
Good to hear that! rclxms.gif
I always eagerly wanted to try the car at Cameron Highlands, but due to busy schedule, I think I only can make it on July or a week before Raya.

Regarding overtaking cars there on windy and sloppy road, can you use paddle shift instead of [S] mode? Is it possible?

QUOTE(Ai609 @ Jun 17 2012, 09:12 AM)
It wont bro.. Owv is owv.. Nothing to do with the method on how u start the engine..
bila u on.. Off.. And on again.. The sound disappear..
This sound appear when u start afterleaving ur car undriven for more than 2-3 hrs above
*
10 days after I collect my car, I went Singapore and leave the car at my apartment car park bay for 6D5N without touching it at all, when I came back, I immediately go to start and warmup the engine, I did not hear any weird sound. Also, I never hear any noise every* morning I start the car, does that mean I am spared from OWV issue?
*I had onlyonce, within these 10 days after collect the car, I heard "over-crank" sound, but only that once*

Aow! Hi fulat, can reveal where you bought these sound proof stripe and how much did you spent on it? Very interesting DIY! drool.gif

Somehow, I thought I don't want to install the rubber to the engine bonnet because I thought we better leave some "breathing path" for the heat to escape faster. hmm.gif

When I asked the service adviser last week, he told me they know the camera is coming, but they don't have the part number yet. When I ask if need to modify this and that to install, he said no need, just plug in... Why not those who going to first or second service go ask the service centre regarding this reverse camera thing? Also can proof if my service adviser bullshit me or not. laugh.gif

I am one of the CFE owner.. I test drive BOLD before make the booking..too bad this Preve they tune
to worst...also I dont see the fuel efficiency with that..
*
Fact:
Exora Bold = CFE+CVT
Preve = CFE+CVT

What people think:
Exora Bold = No sluggish pickup
Preve = Sluggish pickup because specifically tuned for fuel efficiency

Reality:
Preve fuel efficiency not any better than Exora Bold.

QUOTE(mrchinot @ Jun 19 2012, 02:07 PM)
anyway, i still owe bro amiruddin and G K Lai info about preve gps...
had gone through the files, and based on my findings on other similar HU made by bosch...
part of the software in embedded into the HU which was initiated via the SD card during first load...
a short call to blaupunk also confirm this.. usually when there's update, the manufacturer will update the owner...
either through web (i doubt so in the case of proton), or during service... but with a fee for new SD card...
even the compatible rear camera also not sold locally yet by them... maybe later i guess...
so, maybe not possible to mod...
but if you ask me... i would change the HU... i rather have the gps separated... don't want the gps to kacau the song i'm listening...
*
Aiseh bro, don't say "owe" lar... we just share ler... rclxms.gif
In fact, I can accept the functions or this HU/GPS, I only blame the detail of the map (POIs) and the frequencies of the update. I really wish one day someone could generate or convert MFM's map and POI to use on this HU.

After several cars' ownership, this is the first car that I, at this moment, try not to change HU and keep it original. blush.gif
For the appearance, I like the original blend. For functionality, I like the integration of the functions and the control with the car.
I agreed change to a better HU is always tempting, but risks of voiding warranty and car caught fire really frightening me (seen a lot of these happens only within this year). Anyway, I don't know how long I will keep it original, maybe one day really cannot tahan and go change again! tongue.gif

Regarding GPS navigation, I was thought of buying one, either Garmin or Papago (whatever that can use MFM maps), but hesitate due to the messy wiring, power supply and am not a fans of holding a device with a suction cup on the windscreen. biggrin.gif

bro, i also had this error, but the sc in ipoh said cannot be solve. Please let me know the outcome when the cat team check on your car. i got more that you. please refer to the picture i attached.
*
I am curious on a few things in your receipt.
2. To do recall campaign -removed plastic cover red and green at battery terminal
++ REMOVED PLASTIC

Proton actually issued a "recall campaign" without announcing it (secretly)?
What can a plastic cover harm to the car that they need to issue a "recall campaign" to remove it?

QUOTE(izputra @ Jun 20 2012, 09:22 PM)
Hmm..definitely i'm not going to temper with the wiring. As we all know it, Preve got BCM that control the behavior of many features of the car. What i'm asking for is whether there's an option in Preve's BCM that they can reconfigure it (the BCM) so that the side mirror will unfold when we start the engine instead of the current setting  icon_question.gif
Anyway, your effort is so much appreciated bro wink.gif
*
Not sure if these side mirrors were link to BCM or the security alarm system? I believe many things are programmable.

My friend complain about his CR-V unlock the car door too soon (pull handbrake and doors unlock), he don't like this, so he go Honda SC, they re-programmed by pushing and clicking a few buttons very easily, and now his door will unlock when switching off the engine.

So I believe this car be fix, question is, does anyone actually ask about this at any SC? What's the answer?

EDIT: I think you prefer this behavior right? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Jun 20 2012, 11:09 PM)
This HU/Headlamp/Roof top lamp blinking/dimming is becoming a common thing edy.. Need to check thoroughly with the meow team... :sigh:
*
Mine do the same too, long time already! sad.gif
I noticed this:
My HU were set to change "night color" (black background) when I switch on the headlight.
When the "flashing" occurred, it is flashing white color, which is day mode.
I was in doubt if this "flashing" has something to do with day / night mode color scheme or the headlight switch or sensor?

In case someone like to know, I did not set the headlight to Auto, I prefer manual, but HU also "flashing". shakehead.gif

QUOTE(arthur88 @ Jun 20 2012, 11:15 PM)
not yet pay downpayment...so cannot register jpj...so cannot drive back...sorry, i should say my babe arrived at sales outlet..just went there today to check my babe...
*
I must be the lucky one! blush.gif

My SA did the JPJ registration for me first (I don't know morning or afternoon).
Evening, I meet SA at used car dealer to pass my old car to the dealer.
Then the used car dealer only issue a cheque for my SA.
SA then take me to his showroom, show and explain features of the car to me.
We then go into the office, we had coffee, then he let me sign the documents.
He then show me a list of his calculations, and how much I still have to pay him.
I pay him the money, before I go out, I saw a nice keychain and ask why he never give that to me.
He said office clerk gone home already, told me no problem and come take it tomorrow.
The next evening, I visit his showroom after work, his office clerk also gone home already.
But he already got the keychain from his clerk earlier, then he handed over the keychain to me.

Until today, I have no complain to this SA, even willing to recommend him to whoever interest. smile.gif

A recall doesn't necessarily mean have to make it publicly.

That is an internal recall, meaning, all SC getting memo on the part to be changed.

not only Proton does it, other automakers do it as well.

Bro, do you mean the sound even can hear from outside?

I don't hear gluk gluk sound but was instead heard something like loosening steel hitting each others when I reduce speed (foot remove from throttle pedal quickly). The car will then jerking just like driving a manual car, when you suddenly release the throttle in 1st or 2nd gear, I thought this jerking is normal, but I don't know where the sound came from. Maybe the gearbox "knocking" inside? I don't know. sweat.gif
