And what it had to do with being a liverpool fan? So I'm being a liverpool fan had something to do with this? I was just stating an observation point after staying here for few months, seeing few of us fend off the basher.

I don't know what to say, I'll just delete my posts.

Chill bro. He's just stating his opinion just the same as yours. Sometime word that's written is not always understood the way it meant to be. So be cool. We can still share. I belive Junn just hate the fact that our facts-sharing here was used as bullet to later on attack us. Nonetheless, we'll always be ready for them bruce.gif. So relax, enjoy our ride as well as enjoy our conversation while we're still here. We're all brothers here are we not? thumbup.gif

Aiyo. check your bumper clips too. luckily your car is aligned straight with his bumper so there is no damage to your paintwork.
Last time I also meet the same thing but my Altis 1 day old only and not aligned to the car in front so the aeroback iswara put his paint on my bumper and scratch it too. the driver was a very big guy and his passenger also seems from underworld. they didn't bother to get down. Just drove away.

I want to add an important point for all those Preve Buyers who wish to transfer their existing NCD to their new Preve. Although your new Preve has not arrived yet but you are sure that you will receive your new car this year.

It will be safer to immediately request your Insurance Agent to withdraw the NCD now! Don't do it only when your SA informs you that your car is ready to be insured and registered.

WHY?

What happens if your existing car (touch wood) needs to claim insurance? All your years of NCD accumulated will be GONE.

It's a very simple process - just a phone call and wait 3 days, you will receive your endorsement. Keep it safe and pass it to your SA together with your JPJ Reserved Reg No. when he request from you later on. By doing this, you will have a peace of mind waiting for your Preve and can enjoy dreaming first. tongue.gif

Sorry to say I disagree with this advise. For my car which I transfer my 55% NCD, i cancelled the insurance 2 days before i get my new car.
When u accident, u can choose to claim or not to claim. Depend on the severity of damage. Does not concern ur NCD.
Technically, a car without insurance is not allowed OTR. what if you hit someone and cause damage to both cars total 10k? No insurance sure u kalah and rugi. Need pay own pocket to fix own car and other party car. And new Preve insurance only 2k+.. i will happily sacrifice the 1k+ (55%).
Do not simply cancel ur car insurance unless u plan to park it at home till u receive ur new car.
*
You got me wrong bro. Sorry for confusing you.
Do NOT cancel your existing insurance. I mention just withdraw the NCD. The insurance remain intact. Just that after you withdrawn NCD and should you wish to continue insuring your old car for the following year, you will get NO Discount at all. Full premium price.

It's the same practice even if you want to trade in your old car. This is certainly much more beneficial.

Thanks stargate8, your scenario is also correct if you do not wish to sell your old car.

Either way, you will gain.

Hope you are clear now. nod.gif

actually NCB cancellation can also be done later as in my case. you pay full for the new car. they after get only go cancel the old insurance policy. they will refund you the money for the old policy. then you bring the cancellation letter to the new insurance and they will refund you back also base on your previous NCB
*
Yup, what happens if your exisiting old car had to claim insurance? All your NCD gone before you can transfer to your new Preve. You will be like this cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Old Car - NCD 55% - Period 1st October 2011 to 30th September 2012

Preve to be registered on 10th August 2012

Today, Old Car accident - all NCD becomes ZERO when claimed

When 10th August 2012 comes, do you still have NCD for your New Preve?

Are you scared now?

No one knows what will happen in between blink.gif

My suggestion:

Old Car - NCD 55% withdraw NOW - Insurance still same Period 1st October 2011 to 30th September 2012

Hold a piece of paper on your hand which is called Endorsement Form which states you have NCD 55% withdrawn and awaiting to be transferred to new car.

Today, Old Car accident - no NCD but still can claim insurance. Upon renewal is full premium price - no discount

When 10th August 2012 comes, you still have 55%NCD for your New Preve?

Are you happy now?

Precaution is always better thumbup.gif

Another Tip for you all Today Only.

Please check your e-Cover Note when you receive your car. For those who wants to insure windscreed, make sure it's included in the e-Cover Note. My SA promised to do but did not do for me and did not highlight to me. He promised to rectify but did not do also. Luckily I decided to do it myself and it was the last chance day.

Any addition of coverage to your existing policy can be done within 14 days from date of insured which is also your car registration date.

Front windscreen is valued at $800
Eco-tint I just undervalue at $500 so that the total insured value is $1300 to make a total additional premium of $195 to top up.

Kurnia Insurance force me to distinguish and decide value of windscreen and value of tinting.

Please check carefully.

Hi Rick, do u have any idea how long (max) this Endorsement Form could valid? within 1 year? For my case, I disposed off my old car in somewhere Aug 2011, then maximum until went my NCD b/f from this old car can hold before I can a new car?
*
My agent told me it's 1 year as mentioned by Stargate8 too.

But do be aware that by withdrawing your NCD before your policy expires, you need to PAY the remaining balance of the insured period at a normal price without discount.

Let's say you have 3 months before expiry, these 3 months must be charged without 55% discount which you have enjoyed. Ask your insurance agent to work out the cost of withdrawing NCD then you decide worth it or not.

Mine expires on September 2012 and I have to top up $30 only. Paying $30 to secure my NCD of 55% is totally worth it although I got my car delivered in 3 Weeks time. That car is driven by wife to office everyday with heavy traffic so I dare not take the risk.

No harm clarifying this issue with your insurance company.

It could be the Aircond relay switch faulty or poor connection. If you can locate where it is then you can check connection and Ketuk it. Anyway it's not a major issue. You will look very cool driving your new Preve with your windows down.

The only disadvantage is the car new smell flying out through the window.

Just wait Saturday and hope no rain.

I iz here, bz today, seems like lots of us got into accident. Hmm, bout the proton wing if it's 1.5k I rather not fix it. It looks better in dark tone, I've been lurking in another preve club lately, they got insider there, got some good info bout our cvt
*
This car give us the temptation to speed unnecessarily. I don't mean speeding. It's like sprinting the car to 70kmh on routes where you drive everyday but never sprint in your previous car. This create unwanted and unexpected situations. A few nights ago, it was midnight when I came out from cinema and take the usual route home. As I approach a slope,, I tested the hill climbing pickup in a not well lit area of a main road. Sprinted to 70kmh in 2 seconds, suddenly saw an Indian on a motorbike crossing the road from right road bank to the left road bank from standstill so his speed is poot poot. I wasn't able to see his lights when he was crossing the street and his C70 headlights works like a dynamo. He couldn't judge the speed of my car coming and I had to swerve to oncoming lane to avoid him.

My point is this would not have happened if I am driving my old car which has different characteristics. Let's all be 100% alert and prepared whenever we enjoy the acceleration.

Good info on the CVT. thumbup.gif

One of the forummers faced this when crossing junction. He found out that one of the car battery clippers is not tightened yet. At factory they purposely loosen it but maybe forgot to tighten it upon delivery.

the explanation i read last time was smtg like this. when the car is kept in the yard waiting delivery. the battery are actually disconnected to avoid it being dead. when it was delivered to you, some times they did not tighten it carefully... its actually your SA responsibility to check this before delivering to you. but some SA is just batu n not really usefull...
*
Just collected my car, still doing my review work. But something urgent I must share with you all first.

There is a Batch of Preves have to be recalled as I remembered one of our forummer say he saw a chop mentioning "Recall 100% Completed". This has to do with the Car Battery, where one of the connection handle is giving trouble and will cause your engine to shut off immediately. I am one of those who got it replaced and I was called to send my car in for service without me asking for it. I have already confirmed with Service Advisor this morning and it's true they have to fix this issue for those unlucky batch. My batch is 40XX.

My advice is better go check with your SC whether you fall in that batch, and get it fixed immediately before going outstation, Especially Trips That Go Downhill such as Cameron & Genting. But, please don't make a hoo-hah, it's a quick fix and for me I was lucky I never experience engine shut down for the past 12 days.
