hey, perhaps you can try to have a look on this... IX Webhosting
I registered this for my company, and so far, no any downtime occured... its been almost 1 year I use it. The price is really cheap if you compare to our local one... I mean compare in terms of web storage and bandwidth... But I am afraid you won't use that much too... laugh.gif but u can have a look lo... biggrin.gif

I think its difficult to share a webhosting with you la... tongue.gif haha... since this is my company's one... but even its my personal one, I am afraid its also difficult to share.

Anyway, other than that, for my personal website, I use HostRelax. Well, basically it is also still cheap compare to other webhosting. The service still ok lo, not so bad and not so good.

Oh ya, the webz2host.com i guess it is developed by webzworks. Besides, seems like they are not using Linux platform's control panel. They are using HELM Control Panel. No fantastico no syok! laugh.gif
*
hehe nvm then. i asking who else wanna share lo tongue.gif
ya i can see is it's byt webzworks but i wanna know more info ma. wink.gif

Then can i get one free domain for me also wink.gif

thanks

Why dont you guys use a free web hosting server to redirect the page to your home PC as main web server. From there you can have total control of your website and you can add whatever you want to the web server.
*
you have a lot of trouble using pc at home as a server.
you have to on ur pc 24hours and it will be harm for your pc as a long run.
if for personal stuff it's ok to use pc at home as a server but if for business you can't, it's not as stable and speed wise. you don't have such high tech equipment at home as compared to the paid web hosting.

just my 2cents.

my computer has been 24x7 on for 4 years, nothing wrong with it, still performing smoothly.

of course business cannot use your home pc as server. more over, if you are doing business you should not be so stingy about buying hosting plan.
*
if for personal stuff then i totally agree. coz i was doing that for almost 4years also. now my hdd gonna K.O liao ... tongue.gif

I have subscribed to a hosting site and currently use only about 1.4 of the total allocatd bandwidth per month, what a big waste..
*
why not you share host with ppl to cut the cost and wont feel wasted. smile.gif

well, so far so good. You may check their website and send some request to ask for more details about it. Currently one of my website is hosted there... since last year April until now, so far it does not has any problem with it.

I am not sure what you meant about private or public domain ler...  hmm.gif
*
i think he mean the registration info of the domain. anyway no point to make it private also. that's my 2 cents

Hmmm ...
Public domain, when you check yourself from www.whois.com (is it this site ?) They'll show WHATEVER informations they have about you. Meaning all your address, phone, whatever will be known immediately by somebody who checks for your site.

Private domain, everything is kept secret. All your address, phone number, name is replaced with the registrar's name.
Why not make it private? What is your reason ?

What is the meaning reseller ?
*
hmm just my personal opinion. Why should you hide ur details ?
hmm i heard from someone too it's not good to make the domain private, moreover u need to pay for that too.

tat's all i can say. smile.gif

QUOTE(giasens @ May 30 2007, 01:18 AM)
currently i have a A.com hosted with mailserver at mail.A.com
and if i purchase B.com, and use domain pointer to link B.com to A.com

and question is:
is it possible to setup B.com mailserver pointing to mail.A.com?
or is it called something like mx record? not sure about it.
i know domain mail forward will do.
but does domain mail forward watever@B.com to watever@A.com ?

Thanks.
*
yes.

i have two domain.
one is hosted domain and one is domain alias.

ppl can send to ur watever@b.com, but u must login to ur mail server of the a domain
watever@a.com and you are able to receive your email.

depend on how you do the setup.

but i not sure is this what you want to ask. smile.gif
