Oppps

Ya, I got used to my 28-70 and refer to it many times. Bad habit! Thanks tho hehe.
No need to change bad habit. Just change to 24-70mm f/2.8 lens !
I think the 28-70mm f/2.8 still commands a good 2nd hand price.

I think if use DX lens on an FX body, 2 possibilities, either will get vignetting or the body will auto crop the image into DX format (some camera body?).
<ahem, ahem> With a 1.2x crop, he can get away with very slight vignetting when using DX lens on FX body at FX mode.
QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jun 29 2012, 10:33 AM)
Ah Yes, unless it's in DX mode.
For D800, the DX mode still gives almost 16MP; So D800 is like a good FX and DX body, lol
Yes it is. Best of both worlds.
QUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 29 2012, 11:03 AM)
Not bad for sports too. DX mode gives 16MP, 6fps with grip and almost full coverage for the AF points. Superb... *damn kena brainwashed by my friend at Super GT*
Wah, your friend shot with a D800 during the Super GT? Any samples?

the bridge? as in inside? then the guard has every right to stop since it is considered private property.
Agreed. Just like KLCC. Last time, outside KLCC also the guards do this. Is it still the same now?
But stopping and giving reasons of intellectual property is quite far fetch. I believe in Malaysia, only KLCC nighttime view has some kind of IP. Same like Eiffel Tower in Paris granted that there is such kind of rule stipulated officially on their website.
http://www.eiffel-tower.com/faq.htmlI think threatening a million ringgit libel suite against a small time photographer is just lame. Especially not when you shoot for private collection. I would suggest that if anyone happens to be in that situation, ask them to go ahead and engage their lawyers to send you a letter of demand. See if they care enough and have enough time to do it or not.
QUOTE(ongdennis @ Jun 29 2012, 11:24 AM)
i also get warning before by the security guard when i take picture at the lobby of twin tower. but he still sound ok n tell me that if for personal use then is ok...
so many using compact camera n phone to snap around but they just ignore, because i hanging dslr then come n warning me >.<'''
Yup, that's right. Because hanging a DSLR that says Nikon or Canon on the strap will automatically make you a pro. No?
QUOTE(Everdying @ Jun 29 2012, 11:31 AM)
i know kenko makes a 3x tc that works on vr2.
other brands got 3x tc also, just nikon dont think ever got

There's a limit to how much you can amplify that defies the laws of physics. Even Nikon puts extra glass elements in their newest 2x TCEIII.

imagine one day some ppl go shoot portraits outside ur house...what will u do?
they shooting on public road...but ur house is the background

I'll put funny stuff in the background and see if they continue to shoot.
Anyway, I think there's a line drawn for residential houses where people live in and have their privacy's respected. What kind of privacy or rule is violated if you take photos at the Curve bridge as a backdrop?
