Hey ppl, just did a pre order for a pebble blue s3 today. Hoping to get it this Thursday. FYI, for those who want to get a contract for s3 at digi, they can try the seri kembangan branch. I was told that they still have blues there.

Not really sure. I tried to ask more, but they just said that they send this batch of blue back. Should be something that they can see right after they open the box.

Was so pumped up about getting it either today or tomorrow. Crap

The pebble blue should be due to this reason.

Oo crap. No wonder it's delayed. Thanks for the clarification. I will just wait for the blue

Good to know that Samsung is tight on quality issue. But it seems like more than a week of wait now. The web says 2-3 weeks delay cry.gif

Wow. Just noticed, East MY? But yeah, some of the countries got the new sets back already so it should be fast now. Don't forget, it's already the 2nd week now. smile.gif
*
Haha I do hope so haha

But I do wonder. Sine hyper glaze is an issue, and Samsung did admit that it's a defect. If the issue came back in the future, let's say within the warranty period, are we entitled to a 1:1 exchange?

I know there's blue available at KLCC. Action something on the third floor, beside challengers. Apparently they have connections with celcom at the concourse floor. They are selling above rrp. 2299

Lol. That 1... should be a doubt as it's a current production defect. Well, we'll never know now do we? Luckily for us, Samsung pulled back the sets affected before release.  rclxms.gif
*
Haha yea, good thing that they pull it back. Bad thing is that I only have a s3 casing to hold on now and no phone to play with hahah mix feelings at the moment sweat.gif

Anyways, anyone know where I can get hold of sgp ultra fine? Since the oleo is being discontinued hahah might as well get my accessories complete and wait for the phone tongue.gif

With covered case screen already well protected
How can it ever get into contact with scratchable stuffs
Even drop it is protected.
I have even demo on YouTube scratching my note with pen kniife scissors n blade dragging across screen showing strength of glass
All my phone n tablet I never use sp n on day I sell it is like day one condition. All who buy from me can testify this fact
Nothing beats sensation n feeling of naked glass while using it
*
hmm.. guess i wont be buying sp for my phone.

went on youtube to search for Corning Gorilla Glass 2 durability test, and i am surprised with the strength of it. (note using Corning Gorilla Glass)

the test result is indeed brilliant, but the fact is it is not 100% immune to crack and scratch, it depends how you protect it or jaga it or the way incident happens and finally the gorilla glass production condition. like what uncle benny cover case explain is good enough to exclude sp.. just in case people choice other case not full protection, then maybe sp is required .. as an external protection of what well could be happen... all up to your own personal perferences
*
+1 agreed. sp as an insurance. haha maybe its the years of using phones with sp that made me felt that sp is a must for all phones. honestly, i still have doubts, but may give it a try.

QUOTE(farscope @ Jun 13 2012, 05:13 PM)
actually the hardness level of SP is only 3 or 4 max.. GG is at 7 hardness level. If it cant scratch yr SP, it wont scratch yr GG.

the only way to scratch it, is when a tiny sand ACCIDENTLY wanna do some ice skating on your screen. sweat.gif cz i believe sand is usually the most neglected object and most of the time ppl wont take notice about it.

Yes, sapphire, gems are diamond will scratch it too, but nobody will place them together with a phone I believe. Sand is usually the one that escapes our eyes.

Added on June 13, 2012, 5:14 pm
USB charging memang slow one. nth to worry about.
*
oh? meaning to say even with sand on GG, there's still a possibility for scratches to occur?

not possibility, if definitely will scratch. bcz sand is at the same hardness level with GG, if not harder.

check the hardness of sand, or silicon. it's the same with GG @ 7.

in order for an object to be able to scratch another object, it has to be at the same hardness level, or harder.

just like ppl use diamond to cut diamonds.

thanks for the clarification hahah atleast i know what to do. know any place that sells sgp ultra fine? haha i am buying extra insurance in this case hahha
