QUOTE(ramz @ Jun 14 2012, 01:54 PM) i learn in my 101 computer that multicore devices are only utilized if app is multithreading. mutlithreading apps takes more effort to program. the old apps usually don't have multithreading so they cannot take advantage of the multicore. and also sometimes the app developers are lazy and don't use threads in their programs. so for these apps also no difference on multicore devices. yes, correct technically. Old apps are not written to work with multi-threads.correct ah my computer science 101? |

QUOTE(Long88 @ Jun 14 2012, 03:16 PM) any high temperature is bad for battery. In your question, charging = hotter battery, playing games = hotter processor.Hotter + Hotter = Hottest. but still, nth to worry about like what UpCar said. your battery lifespan is probably longer than the phone itself, if anything goes wrong, just tukar la.. QUOTE(Hou_JaI @ Jun 14 2012, 03:19 PM) eh how to enable the feature where if the phone detects that u are reading something on the screen, it will not go blank? have u ever, ever, go into settings and try explore it a bit?just now reading BBC news ... after 10 seconds no activity, the screen go blank :-| |

Today i installed juice defender n noticed i squeeze quite an amount of battery out.
Almost 5 hours of on screen time with 30% brightness. With 28% juice left to spare. Settings on default. 1 hour plus gaming on dungeon village. ![]() Tomolo will monitor again bcz i install the app at 92% level today. Btw, any comments for my camera review? Anything to update? QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Jun 15 2012, 08:21 AM) yeah. happened to me also. especially the weather widget. quite annoying knowing that you have a quad core phone but still lagging. i dont think it lags. it's just some coding bugs in the app where it request a reload for widgets.QUOTE(disasternero @ Jun 15 2012, 08:23 AM) nth to do with ram space. messaging app wont take much space. it doesn't happen to whatsapp, which is a heavier app IMO.it only occurs after u send out the sms, if u just open the message app to view sms and exit, it wont reload. so definitely sth wrong with the coding. |

QUOTE(Hikari0307 @ Jun 15 2012, 08:35 AM) It's not actually a lag. It's more of limitations of the 1gb of RAM. The phone needed more RAM so it killed the launcher to make space so when you go back the phone has to restart the launcher and that is what you're seeing. it didn't kill the launcher. bcz restarting the launcher means everything restarts, including widgets, app shortcuts and folders.but in this case, only the widgets are reloaded. The rest remained there. RAM is sufficient. |

QUOTE(bestofel @ Jun 15 2012, 08:40 AM) Hooho! I managed to make screen casting video by old app: Shootme. You can't find this app in Google Play anymore, I got this app from my old phone: Samsung Galaxy S. not bad.. how it works? by stitching screen shots? Here my first video: Usage: - WIFI always off - mobile data on-off by JuiceDefender and by manually. - use camera for 2 minutes video recording and 3 photos snap - use GPS app: Sygic around 20 minutes - bluetooth file sharing: 45MB+- - power saving on, just CPU saving off - accounts and sync - off - screen brightness 40% when go out, 0% at home - internet and Facebook browsing: 20 minutes |
