One of the benefit on rooted phone is
- can get faster updates as SME usually slow on releasing its updates.
* flash manually the UK updates using MobileOdin and you phone now is on latest updates with root intact. When M'sia updates arrive then reflash manually with M'sia updates.
In other words - your phone always on latest firmware  :-))

once you get the hang of android, you will feel ios is a total bullshit when it comes to "simplicity / easy to use"

anyway to answer your question. refer the front page under tips and tricks

How true. Even attaching a photo in an email needs to do it in the Photo app. Can't add it using the Mail app.
Oh wait, iOS 6 just brought that up as a new feature!! laugh.gif

Anyway of lowering the power consumption of this phone ? I'm very very new to android and still getting the hang out of it. I still find iOS easier to use when it comes to configuration.
*
dont worry, its because you arent used to it, same like us long time android jumping to iOS, i feel like in a jungle going through the iOS.

after some time you sure will be ok.

lowering power consumption can be done by increasing the sync times of apps to 4 hours or so. unless the app is using push notification, i dont think it will be much of a problem

or you can cut it down directly by using pimp my cpu (NOT SURE IF OUR PHONE IS ALREADY SUPPORTED OR NOT)

And to add, lower the screen brightness.
Lower the period of screen time out.
Frequent syncing (for e.g. a few minutes) is one of the major battery drainers I suppose.

Hey, I had problem for Messaging apps in my S3.

I can't open it to SMS or even receive SMS and gave me a status
"Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped"
Anyone encounter this problem with solution? Now I have to download Go SMS pro for sms. Direct Call is unusable in GoSMSpro

Try clear your Messaging data cache.
Setting > application manager > all > messaging > clear data

If still got problem..hard/factory reset ought to solve it :-)

Ouch! That hurts to do factory reset. Is hard reset mean flash to stock firmware?
