I don't get it, why custom ROMs would run hotter than stock ROM. I can see thermal throttling in dmesg.

umm.
stock not so hot meh?
try skyping 30 mins on stock, ur hand also panas panas 1.
cuztom hav custom style, not nessasary hotter etc.
throttle is when u set oc too high n heat too much.
pple say stock > batt like than custom cuz stock not many things to handle.. all clean.
but if u tune properly like putting the chargers and so, i bet batt life will be sweet~
*
I use Skype very often in stock ROM. The stock ROM just doesn't heat up in these normal operations.

I don't OC my phone, I don't play games. The AOKP just heats up the phone more, especially with Franco kernel. The original b38 kernel is at least acceptable.

Now I have to undervolt the device to make it on par to stock ROM. smile.gif

i just consider to buy it but iheard the sound system is low.so can anyone help me to chose  between g note vs galaxy neus vs s2 ??anyone
*
The low volume is just how it is programmed in the software. With simple modification or custom ROM, the speaker can be very loud.

High volume is yes. But only using headphone rite? Not on phone speaker rite?
*
I never feel a problem with the earphone volume, it's always the loudspeaker only. So I'm referring to loudspeaker volume.

To those who doesn't have wifi connectivity issue, they probably downloaded the CWM package. That flash does not overwrite the radio.

I come from IMM30D then upgrade to Jelly Bean, the wifi and exchange sync bonked.

Is the jelly belly counted as new custom rom?
*
There are some with modification, those are custom. I think most of us are on stock Jelly Bean.

The wifi is screwed up in IMM30D itself. I saw an OTA update for IMM30D, lets see how it goes.

Going back to Yakju 4.0.4. Cannot live with broken wifi DHCP and exchange. I'll wait a while for the better OTA to come.

mine seems to work but scrolling breaks , can't scroll at all LOL

why don't u use the bigxie version ?? dhcp and exchange working as usual here
*
The bigxie version is deodexed. It means I'm running a stock ROM that cannot retrieve future OTA updates.

Yakju. By time JB comes, I believe yakju gets it as well

Thanks, so does it mean it's best to get a google yakju than a samsung yakju? @.@

how do we differentiate which is which because they both start with yakjuXX (i assume XX = number right?)

so i should wait for 4.0.4??

No, not number.
