If you know what is the cause of the pain. Unless you go to the doctor and have your ankle being x-rayed, you wouldn't know what is the problem. If is crack, and by not put a cast on it, it may not be heal at all since you are putting the pressure on your ankle 24/7. Do consult with a doctor. You have a long years to live...
