wow..everyone commenting on FC for Forte 2.0 .. Just my 2 cents, don't compare the FC with those 1.5CC car especially Vios and City.. you won't get any good result by any chance..

and if driving a 2.0 car, must enjoy the power of 2.0, drive 'peacefully' to get best FC defeating the purpose of 2.0 car.. waste the road tax money as well... Pay more, speed more biggrin.gif

Plan to install also.. Its around RM350 in Ampang. But cant remember the brand name. I think its the same brand.

Have to be carefull when you ask them to install. Last week when i ask the shop about this product, they show me the one without the socket and they said just 1 black wire will be cut. When i ask about the one with socket.. Only then they try to find it and said "oh we also got Y socket one, so no need to cut wire". Aiyaa why cant you recomend good one in the first place...  doh.gif  shakehead.gif

too bad.. they are not professional !

hi, i have installed locktech from sh@rty (around RM310 or RM320), warranty will not be voided since just plug and play or else u can like me just installed the lock without the Y-cable smile.gif

No one will install safety tint for the rear for you unless u beg them coz it is for safety concern if accident happens
*
Where id sh@rty shop? do you know whats the Y-cable for? I herd the locktech got double lock, but not sure what it is.. does Y-cable installation void the KIA warranty?

Sorry, typo, thinking to install safety tint at side windows... any recommendation and good deal good quality?

yup...i am using Agard SN50 if not mistaken..done by the SA and he given my rm500 voucher. and i paid rm1k..
the tint is very good..
*
Good.. How's the temperature inside the cabin while u jz get into ur car parked outside? Fast to cool down? Does the film too dark that hard to see surrounding area clearly?

Knowing not good to ask and not hoping anyone of you have this bad experience though, just in case anyone experienced, does the film really can protect from the bugger smash on your side windows?

How long you guys installed the tinted? Not sure if it can last longer if expose to hot sun everyday and the film got spoiled badly.

very good bro, cabin temperature cools down very fast..when park under hot sun, inside just a bit warm..but after u turn on the air cond (depending how high u turn on la), in a while maybe less than a minute, not hot anymore...i tested it when i went for melaka trip two weeks back, melaka is damn hot and sunny that day, then went to take my car, cooled down in a while after entering and got the engine started. then stop by to buy something, walked out and its so hot outside..

film its quite dark i would say, but still able to see inside la of coz. however, u will be able to see clearly from inside to outside. the SA claims that it is JPJ compliant as well, so if anything happens, i will sent the saman to him ..haaha...anyway, i think both of the front and rear windows are also tinted, but not as dark as the side windows la. especially at night, ppl using HID lamp also i tak takut, haha..anyway do u use the auto headlights? if yes, then you will have some problem...sometimes not too dark outside also it will auto turn on your headlights..but nvm la ..i still can live with it..

not too sure whether it will resist from smashing la ..but mine the Agard SN50 is 5 mil thick. maybe they have to put more effort to smash it la...hopefully it wont happen to me la ..
*
bro, very detail information, appreciate ur sharing smile.gif where u did the tinting?how long u being using it? I saw some video how ppl tinted their windows, and basically it didn't needed to open the door cover or anything.but some tinted shop do open door cover or pull the rubber etc.wondering how Agard did the installation. do u experience any rattling sound from the doors due to tinted?

*

Yes...ive been into a few cars with different tint..this is so far the best ive experienced..thats y highly recomend..and few of my frens also using agard..so far no issues..anyway if not mistaken agard is originally from air cool. .

yup..the original windows has uv cut..SA told me that it has 99% uv protection..vlt i think is about how dark is the tint, but the original window uv protection only protect ppl inside from uv rays..but it is still clear window if not tinted..
*
Thanks bro.. ur information is sufficient smile.gif Will give a try on Agard. hehe

I just installed it after work today in CSE Car Audio. Original price was RM380, manage to put as low as RM300 after negotiated with the boss there. The Boss is very nice fellow. It come with double lock and Y-Socket, no need cut wire and just plug in the socket will do. Feel more secure and inconvenience than my existing foot lock (of course, otherwise y I spent my $ to install it!  brows.gif )

Just got my Forte today from Edwin Loh (Motorman) and appreciate his professional and deliverable. Given higher credit to him on his professional and patient answered all the questions in term of best offer, technical questions and advices, test drive, loan application, car plate number etc etc in the past few months while doing my survey and research on the C segment car. He is willing to help even I have yet to confirm to get Forte smile.gif

Besides, he also delivered what he had promised and I got my car within 2 weeks from the day I made booking. He helped out on the loan application, insurance NCD transfer and recovery, tinting, GPS activation, detail explanation when deliver the car to me, checking engine and chassis etc etc. Thumbs up to Edwin Loh on his service biggrin.gif

Agreed on what 'nemurus' said, 2nd best deal which don't see much different from the best deal, but given the best service on the buying process. Will give comment once I start dealing with car service from his SC biggrin.gif

Btw Edwin, you are right, tkfai is my id. I mentioned the wrong one this afternoon. biggrin.gif

Is that Agard SN50 really nice?
What is the market price?

Any option around 1k or lesser and quality is good?
*

[/quote]

From the booklet it stated RM1500 for Agard SN50. I did for 1k for all windows. got it few days so not sure if it's good or bad.no issue with smart tag so far, will check out my own gps and the one bundle with new HU.

driving experience is good as it doesn't looks so dark when you looking out from ur car.heat wise so far still ok,need more sunlight to test it out.

Yup..its a bit dark if look from outside..really scared kena saman..try to look behind via ur rear mirror at night..even HID headlamps oso notscared..hehe...yup..make sure u get ur pull left issue done on ur 1k service if it happens...if not they will charge u..
*
ya.quite dark really scare kena saman from JPJ lo.. still testing on the pull left issue.. Besides, i tried the navigation system, looks like it can't detect the location though. I have no issue with Smart Tag so don't think is the tinting issue. Checked the GPS signal screen, it shows 0 used / 9 shown something like that.
