Anyone know where can get the engine drop in filter, how much? I only see those reusable drop in filter in the garage sales forum but not the paper type one. Plan to bring these engine drop in filter and air cond filter go to service next time in case they ask me to change; it is much cheaper than buying from SC right

Sorry to hear that bro.

Lately got news that Forte has been stolen & now your case also..it seems that Forte is fast becoming a hot car to steal now. So Fortezens..please beware all the time especially when u approaching the car..make sure that your surrounding is safe enough. I always put in practice to lock the car's doors as soon as i enter the car..as a safety precaution. But sadly in your case, it happens outside of the car..so u did not have a chance to lock the car from inside & drive away for safety.

I wonder if we can install a separate immobilizer in our Forte..card type perhaps. So they (the thieves) will not be able to start the car though they already got the smartkey..need to survey at the car accessory shop for this.

Hi Fortezens..

Just got my 1.6SX White today... can confirm that infamous pull left problem still exist.. sigh.. but overall.. satisfied...

In my case (as I'm sure like most cases for Forte's pull left issue), it is sort of like misalignment. Happens every time I let go of the steering wheel at any speed. the car will veer to the left. Not abruptly but easily noticeable. Other fortezens have solved this issue by doing the alignment. If that doesn't really solve the pull left issue than the chamber nut needs to be replaced. Hopefully mine won't have to go that far.

As for your 2nd question, I only collected my car yesterday.. dare not go beyond 100km/h before my 1st 1k service so no noise issue as yet. By noise, do u mean wind noise? Some fortezens do have issue with this. the windscreen is not properly sealed. One fortezen has solved her issue by applying some special glue to the affected area.

Thanks for the info. will do just that but i was told need to complain within three days not before mileage reach 2K. the SA must have her facts wrong then. by the way, did u have issue with the pull left? only realignment done or was the chamber nut replaced? thanks again.

if u worry the warranty will be voided then just ask them install the locktech but dont connect the wiring. I did it such way too.

If you have good protection (water beading), and the car is not expose overnight under the moon or acid rain etc...i think you can wash it when you think its 'dirty' - the definition is vary from ppl.

I can wash daily, 2 days once upto once a month)

Just remember you need 'regular' maintaince, wash + top up wax....if talk about detailing i can write 3 pages here haha....

Guys, I'm at 900km edi.. Due for service soon.. But one problem is whether can go pass 1.2k mileage before sending to service? My job very hard to set off day >.< or wats the max limit given by SC?

dont care what pple say la..actually IMHO forte is more of a man's car to me due to it's aggressive body stance..i think vios is more of a lady's car than forte...preve is OK but good luck to those who buy...
