if not mistaken...
for 1.6, u need to push the gear to manual prior to use paddle shift...
for 2.0, u can use the paddle shift straight away...
*
For 2.0SX 6 speeds, we still need to set to D and right push manually prior of using the paddle.

yeah, im going to do my first service too, but i still dont know which SC provide at least decent services with "know how" to fix the pull left issue. i dont want the quick fix with different air pressure method and is it necessary really need chamber for it?
*
For SC, its a matter of personal preferance and who attend to you. I personally goes to Setapak SC and I have no problem and pretty happy with their service but here in forum the are people complaining abt Setapak SC.
As for aligntment, based on the feedbacks fr all the forumers here, can conclude majority on Kia SC are not experience enough on the issue of aligntment and balance as these require skill. If you don't mine spending abt RM40 over multiple trips to SC, I suggest you go outside a good reputable tyres shop and they really have the expertise. I sent mine to Raydiance at Mentari park at Bandar Sunway. Very professional and have the expertise plus good equipment.

still reading the previous V12 thread, that if i remember correctly, raydiance will charge over rm100.
then i believe they should bear the cost... thanks for the recommendation anyway

I paid RM45 for whole aligntment / balancing / replacement of 4 new metal nipples & caps. In bill they put in as package for forte club members. So either they wrongly bill me or you got the wrong info. Just google for their tel and give a call. Its worth than having to change your 4 tyres before your next service. smile.gif

From what I know, the only company who got the authorization to apply teflon coating in Malaysia via PPS is Shield and Shine from Bandar Sunway. Boss name is Raymond if not mistaken.

pendrive already with FAT32 format

normal file size if we download from torrent ... around 700mb for movies .. and 350mb for tv series ...

my old HU (myvi car - made in taiwan brand) ...can even play full HD movies from pendrive .. too bad this KIA player cannot fully utilize its features...
*
I have been playing AVI files of above 400MB download HK drama series without problem on new HU. Upon pluck in usb, pls wait a while - abt 5 minutes for player to detect and load. Pla note, the player hv limited RAM, so dont expect Ipad response. Go to app, files and click file to play voila...!

It's rm60 for 2 pcs. Some1 is doing the group buy for this @ MFC FB group.

Or goto Lelong.com, some one is selling them also.

If you want cheap, DIY with 2 elastic band of 450mm length (the one with hook on both end, use by motorbiker to secure their package)

Hi all the Forte sifu here, wanna ask I have a Kia Forte 2011, 6 Speed SX, and would like to upgrade my front speaker to Alpine DD Linear 6.5 Component, cause I am buying it online, will it guarantee fit into the speaker hole?

Thanks
*
Should not be problem cos any experience Audio Shop will able to cut new wooden bracket to adapt. Go to a good audio shop. Don't go cheap one or you will regret.

bro mind taking pic of the HU u're using???

The port at the glove compartment is recommended for ipod and its control can be at the touch screen. For Iphone, its prefer to use bluetooth and the audio is commendable. You can also use the aux cable (can buy at any audio/handphone shop) and plug into the headphone connection.

i'm using the stock DVD HU right now. UI is not that interesting, and the radio reception is quite bad sometimes. tried changing to Europe settings and off the AF (as recommended by others), but still the same.

so far heard no complaints from users of the old HU.

Try changing the stock antenna which is analog receival to digital eg sharkfin antenna but it may void your warrantee as drilling and rewiring will be carry out. Try getting a high quality screw on type for digital eg honda, nissan antenna will fit.

The stock gps SpeedNavi will be free for the 1st year only and if you need road maps upgrading which is the most important feature in gps you need to pay for the anual licensing fee of RM120.00 if not mistaken. The current SpeedNavi is pretty poor in the Malaysia map as it is still using last yaer map and not uptodate. Try google for Papago 8.5 and you can get free uptodate maps at malfree monthly. As you are running from SD card not void in warrantee and no, you wont spoil the HU as currently my HU are running 3 gps system eg SpeedNavi, Papago and Garmin

I think this car is worth to get, but after read thru the forum, looks like the fuel consumption reported by user is not consistent. Some said 6liter can up to 100km but some has 10-12liter for 100km.

I consider this car, but worry about this because average I will travel 70-80km per day. Many of you have experience and can you provide me the detail as below related to fuel consumption?

1. fuel consumption liter/100km
2. Model of your car 1.6EX, 1.6SX, 2.0SX
3. age of your car.
4. Any modification that make your car fuel saving?
Appreciate your advice.  smile.gif

The FC depend on your driving. Currently I m on daily city driving of average distance of 50-60km per day and I recorded an average of 11-12 L/100km and over the weekend of highway driving back to JB fr KL of average speed of 110-120km, I got 6-7L/100km. By the way I m driving 2.0SX and Ron95.
