Who is the best SA in Penang? Mind to recommend me? I am looking for the sales with best discount of money. Not really care about gifts. Please PM me the best price you can give for Model 1.6EX and 1.6SX.

I think this car is worth to get, but after read thru the forum, looks like the fuel consumption reported by user is not consistent. Some said 6liter can up to 100km but some has 10-12liter for 100km.

I consider this car, but worry about this because average I will travel 70-80km per day. Many of you have experience and can you provide me the detail as below related to fuel consumption?

1. fuel consumption liter/100km
2. Model of your car 1.6EX, 1.6SX, 2.0SX
3. age of your car.
4. Any modification that make your car fuel saving?

Appreciate your advice. smile.gif

I stay in Penang mainland and work in island. everyday travel sometime with jam. my 1.6sx 6speed average is 8.0-9.0L/100km.

Thanks for letting me know. I am same as you. Need to travel to Island everyday. Earlier I try to get Hybrid Car.

For Insight, the price is a bit expensive, maintenance expensive, but not really save much fuel 5l/100km - 98k
For Prius C, the battery is too risky, cost 11-12k and 3 yrs warranty only - 97k.

That's what I am thinking to get Forte and seek for your advice.

I am thinking if really fuel consumption, perhaps change the tyre to light weight 16'' will help or not. Or maybe just get EX version. Also 52 liters tank is really heavy to carry. Perhaps, should not pump full but maybe 30liters will be good.

I want to book Forte 1.6SX. The SA told me if I want to pasang Bodykit, they will charge me RM900.

Is it worth to pasang bodykit?

What is pros and cons with bodykit?

Is RM900 cheap or I should consider pasang bodykit later from other shop?

No free bk?

It is free. If I dont want the BK, the SA will discount RM900 for me.

That's why if BK doesnt help anything but add weight to my car, I will choose to drop this free item.

Please advice.

your initial statement was confusing cos u said he will charge u RM 900 - now u said it's free. make sure it's really FREE not added charges on top of retail price. Body kit just adds a nice styling element to your car - that's it - it wont help in aerodynamics whatsoever - in fact make your FC worse cause adds weight plus u have to be very careful when going thru bumps...so it's actually more pain than gain. take the 900 discount instead smile.gif
*
Thank you. I think I drop this offer and get the RM900 rebate because I am not young people and doesnt need to make the car looks sporty.

I prefer Fuel efficiency and dont like to add weight to my car. I also dont want them to drill my car just to hookup something not useful but just make my car looks sporty.

Thank you for your advice. Any other comment are welcome.

U guys keep saying forte is under power, I'm driving a Nissan sentra ,04 version just wondering is it am upgrade for me?

What is this Horsepower 124 ps @ 6300 rpm, Torque 156 Nm @ 4200 rpm means? Is it higher the better?

118ps/6000 rpm, 143Nm, 4000rpm. <--- this is current Nissan sentra sport but I believe mine is even lower since its the 04 version.

I'm comparing my 1.6 sentra with 1.6 forte.
*
You Sentra 8 years car still worth 35k. Not bad smile.gif ... I hope Forte will have the same value after eight yrs too smile.gif

I called the naza helpline and made a big fuzz about this matter. what is the point of having a all in 1 player and not being able to play videos? if i have to encode the file to smaller size or change the resolution might as well dont give me that player and give me back the RM2500 rebate that i was offered. I do not need such a useless player if wanna play videos is so hard. Mp3 some files can detect some cannot detect, radio reception also poor. the only thing that is good is the gps lock signal within 10 seconds.

So after the big hoo haa i made several times, now they agreed to change a new HU for me. I dont know if its the same model but 1 thing i know for sure it will be updated with the latest firmware. So my advice to fellow forte owners here, please dont hesistate to call up the helpline and bang them. The car was not given to u free, we paid for it and we expect the best for what we have paid.

Now i got 1 problem solved next is the rattling dashboard and bloody aircond problem left to rectify.
*
What is the problem aircon?

Rattling dashboard, That's make me a bit worry because I heard that noise when test the car. Any solution for that? Seems like all Forte has rattling dashboard problem sad.gif

You can't tell the manufacturing date from the chassis number or engine number. The most important thing is the manufacturing year, which is indicated on the registration card.

I checked the mileage used 8km already. Is that normal? Possible for Car sales agent to reset the mileage to 0? Just curious.

Hi, need advice. I am from Penang mainland and may I know when can I get the best tinted in Penang mainland? My budget is below 1k and I prefer to get reasonable tint.

I know AGARD that will cover for summon, but I I believe the mark up the price. I just want tint without giving me the problem with JPJ and police.

Just collect my car 1.6SX bright silver. Please add me into the list.

Question:-
1. When I am on driving, I heard some noise from tyres spinning .... like empty tin blow by air ... Is it normal? Did you having same problem?

2. I plan to do the tint tomorrow. I heard 5 mil will avoid window crack by small stone? Is that true? How much do I need to pay for 5 mil tint?

From the booklet it stated RM1500 for Agard SN50. I did for 1k for all windows. got it few days so not sure if it's good or bad.no issue with smart tag so far, will check out my own gps and the one bundle with new HU.

driving experience is good as it doesn't looks so dark when you looking out from ur car.heat wise so far still ok,need more sunlight to test it out.

I am new here. And few questions:-

1. What is 'pull left' issue? Is that mean all 100% car will hit this problem? How to detect it and solve it?
2. They gave me silverstone tyres. Many peoples said 'replenish tyre presssure' to ensure good Fuel Consumption. What is that mean?
3. 17'' tyre is new to me. What PSI should I input for this tyre to ensure good FC? I saw tyre stated 300Kpa or 42PSI maximum.
4. I talked to SA, they told me the noise when driving is because of silverstone tyre. Unless I changed the Michelin tyre that will avoid the road noise problem. Is that true?

Hi all,

Few years back, there is a guy called Taipan. He used few ways to improve the fuel consumption and very impressive.

1) Use Fully Synthetic Oil 5W-30 (every 10K KM) 2) Change to Simota Performance Air Filter at 20K KM 3) Change to Iridium Power at 30K KM 4) Install TAB + PBTE at 35K KM 5) Install VS + GC at 40K KM (latest mod at this date)

I have few questions here, if I get these installed on my car, will it void the warranty? Will it cause any side effect? Appreciate your advice.

Average 7.5liter / 100km. Full tank can go up to 600km. around 15cents / 1km. Looks very good.
