I'm getting my Forte early next month.. 1.6SX.

As I understand the new HU comes with Speednavi GPS system, does anyone here know whether the GPS system can change to Garmin/Papago GPS system by ourselves or car shop?

Garmin/Papogo would have more frequent map updates from malfreemap or malsingmap forums..

Void warranty? shocking.gif

I thought this take less work than changing the whole HU from old to new..

Does the changing HU from old to new void warranty?

yes, better stick with speednavi; no annual fee somemore unless updating the map. After a while then you should familiar with speednavi although it is quite different than Papago. Btw I found that speednavi got better map support as when i back to my kampung, speednavi is able to detect the road but not for papago that is installed in my iphone.

Alright, will stick to speednavi and hope I won't have the urge to swap to Garmin/Papago anytime soon. tongue.gif

Yupp..it's true. I experienced it myself the hard way. I damaged the navigation system in my first HU..the other HU functions works properly except the navigation system (GPS). Never ever copy the original Papago! X8 from other devices & put it in your HU..i can assure u that your HU navigation system will be malfunctioned. I copied the other version of Papago (before the X8 version came out) before for the HU & it works like wonders..but not the X8. It will ruin your HU GPS for sure (the ori copy of Papago! X8). But, learning from my experience, u can copy & use a cracked version of Papago X8 in your HU without any problem...that's for sure. Anyway, i bought another HU & use the original Papago! X8.5 instead..case close  tongue.gif
