QUOTE(izputra @ Jun 11 2012, 04:58 PM) Yes, there is active headrest in M'sia version. An active head restraint moves forward and upward in a rear-end collision to decrease the space between the restraint and the occupant’s head, reducing the degree to which the head accelerates before making contact. The less acceleration, the lower the chance of injury. Using a lever-action mechanism built into a seat, the active restraint redirects the force of an occupant’s body as it presses into the backrest to move the head restraint forward U can't push it, it is designed to be active during course of collision. The active headrest is not meaning that the head rest can be adjusted to our liking. The one that u can adjust th headrest position according to your liking is called adjustable head rest. active headrest is designed to prevent whiplash injuries in the course of collision This post has been edited by CKH2012: Jun 11 2012, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(Junn @ Jun 13 2012, 08:23 PM) Guys, Fren forte aircon seems to be something wrong, car two weeks old, anyone face this before? Lunch time drove out, extremely hot, blow hot air Ha..ha....cross border already ah.Only evening hot? How about night? Is it just hot throughout the operation or it takes some times to cool down? If it takes time to cool down, check the cabin filter, there have been cases where the filter direction (arrow up) were misplaced. If it is hot throughout the operation, better send to SC. Maybe gas leak already. |

QUOTE(Junn @ Jun 13 2012, 08:45 PM) Only afternoon, night no issue, yea gonna send back sc check. So, it still can cool, but take longer time?He bought it quite a good deal, 85k include everything 1.6sx, just that today notice aircon got issue, turn to 18C still hot. Very good nvh n lots of goodies, now even with gps. Gotta admit this is one of the best value for money car Mine, cool within 2 to 3 minutes even during hot afternoon. Is the circulation set at internal or external? If the A/C is set at auto mode, some times it will switch to external circulation. |

QUOTE(izputra @ Jun 14 2012, 08:23 AM) Nope..i owned Forte 4-speed that does not come with HU as standard. I bought an aftermarket HU. The first one the navigational software is damaged due to my experimental with the Papago X8, so i bought another HU..this time with the ori Papago X8.5..lol. Both cars, value for money, nice photo.......I dun notice that Preve is much bigger than Forte until park side by side.I have checked the com port & baud rate. It's the same with my PND..resolution also HD (the same). Still it damaged my HU - Wah, izputra very rich loh Added on June 14, 2012, 8:28 am Hehe..maybe i will share about his later on. Just received the Preve for 1 week. It's too early to judge it now. Let the Preve done some mileage before i can make any reviews |

QUOTE(Intel@Atom @ Jun 14 2012, 10:54 AM) agree, elantra and preve looks smaller from outside but in fact they are quite big and spacious U set the headlights on auto mode?going to do my 1K service soon next week so far still enjoying driving it. BTW just notice the headlight will be turned off automatically after the engine is turned off so no more worrying about forget to turn off the headlight anymore That's the feature of the auto headlight. I still prefer manual on/off. |

Added on June 17, 2012, 11:55 pm BTW, how to took out the vent? Physically it was fix nicely and i dare not to take it out. [/quote] Yeah , basically, I also thought it was coming from the clock area until i push the air vent and the rattling sound stopped. This is a video of how to remove, basically, u need to pull it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5V_IKDNCYw But I am not using this method coz I find it a little difficult. There is another way but you need to fabricate a tool, a V shape with two ends slightly curve. You then insert this into the aircon vent and pull it out. Sorry as I don't have picture of this. If you are not familiar with DIY, I will suggest you go to your SC and ask them to rectify this. |

QUOTE(bmkia @ Jun 24 2012, 11:03 PM) Guys, - Sorry to hear that.I just want to share with you about my car robbery (KIA Forte 1.6 Sedan-White) last week. I was at Kuchai Lama, just off Old Klang Road near the new foodcourt opposite the FGA church at 830pm. When I opened my car door, 2 yound indian guys shouted at me then rushed at me with a parang each. They took my phone wallet etc and keep demanding my car keys (the key docket was in a small bag) that they already took. After a minute or 2, with 1 of them keep threatening me for my car key, the other ransacked the car and managed to start the car and then they both drove away. I believe they targeted me for my car as they keep insisting for the car keys. All this happened with 2 chinese uncle (employees who were working in abrightly lit canopy making shop)witnessing the whole incident but pretend not to see or help. So please be careful, KIA Forte now also kena targeted already. I was shocked when they keep insisting for the car keys. I am a guy and I am bigger and taller than the 2 of them (they were both thin medium height young indians). Can't imagine if a girl was targeted. Wow dude.. i alwiz makan at the opposite (chow-chow lamb) and the prawn noodle.. the road behind the place i makan the street also very quiet. I park there most of the time. I'll avoid that place.. What the hell is wrong with KL man... daily robbery and crime seems like going up like nobody's business! - And the govt still saying that it is very safe and some of these crimes are just isolated case. QUOTE(elru @ Jun 25 2012, 12:37 PM) how to put it, even when in auto mode during overtaking for that few seconds you can feel the gear downshifted probably from gear 4 to 2 for power @2500 - 4000 rpm, but at the same time the engine is loud till the strong vibration can be felt frm the steering wheels n pedal, so fast mounting is loose? wish i can see which gear im running instead of just D in auto mode Elru, Not sure how is the vibration u encountered. If from gear 4 to gear 2 (using paddle shift), the engine sound is quite loud and noticeable (similar like engine braking sound when u going down a hill) There will be jerking and vibration but mild one(similar with the those I experienced when driving a manual car) This post has been edited by CKH2012: Jun 25 2012, 01:26 PM |

1) Back Speaker Rattling Sound - don't have this problem, may be some screws/nuts not tightened, send to SC or if u want DIY, open the door panel and check yourself. 2) Driver side Safety Belt Rattling Sound - I find that for mine, certain seat position will give rattling sound, kind like metal to metal brushing. - Open the B pillar cover and tighten whatever loose items. Stick some insulation tape on B pillar to reduce the gap between the pillar and the cover. -Alternatively, send to SC to rectify, should be straightforward (compare with dashboard rattling) 3) Car Seat "Queak" Sound - Mine also got this nyek nyek nyek sound (may be we are too heavy), get some silicone based grease and apply on the seat sliding rail. After that, slide your seat to lubricate it. - WD40 helps too, but it ony lasted for 2 to 3 weeks. - silicone grease is water proof and last longer. |
