By the way, I told the SA to transfer my 55% NCD from my old car to new forte but when I collected the car, the insurance policy that I got is stated 0% NCD. Although SA already upfront deduct the 55% NCD money for me but I wonder how can I renew my policy for the next upcoming year with 55% NCD? Will the SA forget to do the transfer for me and I have to paid the insured amount with 0% NCD?
thx
yes interested to know as well.
Usually, the SA does not cancel your used car policy straightaway, so as to enable you to continue using the car until the day you exchange with the new car. On the other hand, he needs to issue the insurance for your new Forte, and he cannot apply the NCB until your usedcar policy is cancelled. As such, there is an "in-between" period whereby your Forte policy will be issued in full first (without NCB), and upon receiving your used car, the agent will cancel the policy and transfer it to the new car accordingly.
Once transferred, it will show up in the ISM system (on-line NCB portal, Insurance Services Malaysia). During renewal, the agent can easily picked up the NCB from ISM , eventhough it is not shown in the covernote or policy.
The onus is on your SA/agent to ensure the NCB is transferred. Otherwise, they have to pay the full amount to the insurance company and since they have deducted the NCB upfront for you, you have nothing to loose.
Hope that explains.
Cheers

The SA can provide free change to Kia badge?
I noticed 2.0 is KIA badged, but the 1.6 is Naza badged.
It all depends on your terms with the SA when you book the car with him!
All Forte 1.6 and 2.0 come with Naza emblem from the factory. If you see KIA or K emblem, they are all after-market accessories.
Cheers.
