wow!!!  rclxms.gif thx for the info!!!
and btw, for the first picture, lower part is answer/drop call button, and what is the button for beside it???
speaker button???  tongue.gif
*
I'm not sure enough coz my first batch Forte HU doesn't come with the bluetooth connectivity. But i believe, the left lower part buttons is meant for answer & drop a call. The right lower button should be the button to initiate the bluetooth calling mode. Any 6-speed owners here..please clarify this

Mine 6speed don hv tat button on d right lower...i oso wonder..

Maybe already got button on the HU that serve the same purpose as that lower right button..so no need redundancy by installing it there (at the lower right of the steering spoke). It's just my wild guess anyway. I dont have it (the original bluetooth functionality) in my Forte in the first place tongue.gif

Hi, in other markets, e.g. US, there is a single button on the right side of the bottom spoke. When you press this button, you can use your voice to call someone just like the Siri button on iPhone. Here in Bolehland, we only get call answer or off, cannot talk to your HU.

Thanks for the clarification smile.gif

Hey Fortezens , Just wanna ask...Is it possible to change the rear camera image to the HU instead of the rear view mirror?

Hope to seek replies from the Sifus and members here. Thanks tongue.gif
*
AFAIK, it is possible as long as the stock HU got the Video In port..but the image on the HU will be quite blurred due to the low resolution image from the camera. This are testimonials from other Fortezens who already did this on their after market HU..i believe it will behave the same on the stock touch screen HU

Icic, Thanks for the reply Bro. So I'll need to do some mod on the wire from the Rear view mirror change the camera display back to the Forte HU right ? Can't just simply change by pressing any button ?
*
As far as i remember, they did not rewired as per u said. They just installed sort of video splitter if i'm not mistaken. So, both the rear view mirror & the HU will display the image simultaneously. Fortezens who successfully did this, please clarify.

well said!!!!!  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
for 12k u can put in for damn lot of things, perhaps put in for ur installments then u can faster finish ur installment.....
*
For extra 12k, 2.0 owners got :

1) 6 airbags (touch wood..hopefully will not use it tongue.gif )
2) Cruise Control
3) Motor Driven Power Steering
4) Leather Seats
5) Extra 'kick' on demand..priceless brows.gif

However, 2.0 owners also enjoy extra :

1) Monthly installment
2) Insurance premium
3) Road tax
4) FC perhaps
icon_question.gif

For me, since that i often work outstation, i need the cruise control capability & the extra safety that the 2.0 Forte offers. Extra 'kick' of the 2.0 is also useful for quick overtaking maneuver & effortless hill climbing tongue.gif So at the end, it's up to us to decide which one to choose based on our own affordability & needs.

I think my usage is low...2.0 might be 'wasted' end of day.
*
If your car usage is low, 1.6 will do. Getting a 2.0 might waste your money coz u not use it to the full...

QUOTE(g88 @ Jul 12 2012, 03:12 PM)
One thing i learn is if 1.6 under power..heavy footed bit when overtake..FC increase but 2.0 no matter HOW light footer i am the FC cannot go AS LOW AS 1.6 tongue.gif
*
Agreed..but, there's always a but..hehe. On the other way round, no matter HOW heavy footer u are, the 'KICK' is not AS HIGH as the 2.0 & the overtaking maneuver will surely not as quick as the 2.0 rolleyes.gif

This argument will not have an end i guess tongue.gif

you installed that turbo gadget right? sure lagi banyak kick.
*
I'm not using it anymore since I changed to Simota stainless steel high flow air filter. I found that when using the high flow air filter, that gadget seems like not giving any effect. That gadget will show its true potential when I still use the stock air filter before. So I simply took out the gadget & keep it in my store room wink.gif & yeah..I did feel the kick is improving when I use it last time

Sure will do. Here it is :-

- washer drain plug
- oil filter
- air cond filter
- spark plug
- power steering fluid
- fully synthetic sn 5w40 4l

That's it i think.

What has changed?
*
If my memory still serves me well, the cabin air filter should be changed & every 20k km interval. That item is almost RM100 ooo...that's why the service price jump to 600+. Need to check back my details later on for confirmation.

guys,

may i asking some silly question. I just checked on Road Tax calculator (http://www.oto.my/tool/road-tax-calculator). If Forte 1.6, i need to pay RM90, but if Forte 2.0, i need to pay RM 379.50. Is it true? if its true, then the chance of getting the 2.0 is slim la at least for me.
*
That's absolutely true. U also need to take into consideration the extra insurance premium + extra monthly installment also for the 2.0 tongue.gif If u have too much monthly commitment, get the 1.6 will do nod.gif

hi everyone. i'm considering changing from Vios to Forte. one quick questions to those experienced owners of Forte.

anyone here install alarm systems like Viper or anything similar?

does the Forte has air-con vents for rear passengers? i tried to look around for pics or comment but cant really find any.

TQ.
*
Viper...hmm..are u going to take the Viper on your Vios to put it in the Forte? I believe it (Viper) can be use in the Forte, but u might end up with 2 sets of key for your Forte tongue.gif However, some NazaKia SCs also offer the installation of other type of alarm as an accessory (not Viper or sort of).

Regarding the rear aircond vent, actually Forte got aircond vents under both front seats meant to deliver cold/hot air for the rear passengers (u can bend down & see it for yourself). But since the vent is located at feet level, it might be more useful in cold climate country to blow the hot air to our feet & up. But anyway, we can use it to blow the cold air too. Just set the blower mode to Face/Feet Blow & u are good to go thumbup.gif

I paid RM2k for 1313. But the alphabet was old one. When I bought my Forte, was supposed to be WWG/H one. On average, runner will charge RM4k for 1313 (current alphabet)  rclxub.gif But if you bid yourself, I see average for my 1313 is about RM3k.
*
1313..lol..my phone number tongue.gif

However, for my Forte, I bid for 7x7 (KL plate) for less than RM600. Luckily I won the bid smile.gif From record, the same number for previous alphabet cost about RM900 to win the bid.

each number do have a 'range'...like that gigohlo said but WWY 1313 and WXA 1313 was bidded at Rm1900 and RM1690.

Above 2K range usually fall in 2 digits and some 3 digits number like 838....
*
Correct..luckily I won the bid at the 'lower range'..hehe. Also bid PKP 7x7 for my wife's Preve last time @ about RM500, but lost the bid. Ended up getting KDF x7 instead tongue.gif

Mine got 2 bulbs burned in 27 months of owning the car. 1 bulb for each side. Forte uses stock Philips bulb..but still ended up burning prematurely. Now uses the cheapo 'cap ayam' bulbs...

Did you guys use the auto headlamp feature? Is that why the bulb burn prematurely?
*
I did not use auto headlight since 2 years+ ago. Just use it on the first month of owning the Forte. Still, the stock Philips bulbs burned prematurely. But i guess, 2 bulbs burned in 27 months is acceptable. Now use cheapo RM9 bulb..hopefully can last longer tongue.gif

dear Forterian..

i need some info from u guys..
did 2010 1.6cc SX forte comes with auto cruise function?

did it comes with ESC too? and how many airbag..thnks

last weekend i just test drive a 2010 SX forte...so far handling so good.. thumbup.gif

Added on July 22, 2012, 10:50 amsince my salary is not so high..so i am in the process diciding either to buy second hand forte or new preve...

but looking at the interior and exterior 2010 sx forte much more pretty...just the spec is lesser...

new sx forte indeed more spec than preve..but i cant afford the new forte..haha
*
No auto cruise for Forte 1.6.
Forte 1.6SX got ESC but not the Forte 1.6EX.

Whether to choose a 2nd hand Forte 1.6SX or Preve, it's up to your preference. So i leave this decision on u tongue.gif
