QUOTE(blackfortetoo @ Jul 16 2012, 10:17 AM) those who are planning to buy a Forte... sld consider the prices of spare parts... its not cheap!!! That's not entirely true. Last time, due to low demand on korean cars, spareparts brought in also only original which are flown in, hence more expensive. I have faith in Forte because the number of Fortes on the road getting more and more. I can guarantee you, in one drive session, you can atleast see 1 Forte on the road no wonder ppl avoid Korean cars like a plague QUOTE(mischief3000 @ Jul 16 2012, 10:17 AM) Why my USB port like totally useless unless I change to USB mode |

QUOTE(pianrasa @ Jul 16 2012, 11:25 AM) With the 5year unlimited warranty one not need to worry too much about repairs/spareparts... Opted for a 7 year repayment (only plan to keep it that long) so another 2 extra years without warranty.. Hopefully luck is on my side.. 5 years unlimited warranty only applicable for engine and gearbox bro |

QUOTE(g88 @ Jul 19 2012, 11:38 PM) Ok here are some guideline how much ppl bid (actual result) for WWY and WXA number. Min is Rm300. There is up and down...sorry for bad image since simply snap.... Actually very simple. Last time when getting my Forte, I went asking around and understood how it worked. WWY [attachmentid=2955921] WXA [attachmentid=2955924] Pick running number, RM200 + 10. Got a range of numbers on the screen, just pick the one you like from the screen. Pick number, RM300 + 10. lets say now WXC, can pick any number which is not in the "nice / hot" numbers Pick nice number bidding. Highest price for the number gets the number. Nice number, must put bank draft in amount of half what you wanna bid. If you wanna bid rm1000 for a number, bank draft value is rm500. If win bid, pay remaining. Lost bid, get back bank draft. Nice numbers usually like single digit, double digit or twin numbers so on so forth. Then the price of numbers can guess one. Just pay JPJ a visit, look at the number you like, can see average price for that number there Those JPJ fellas will know which are nice numbers one. So you cannot simply try luck bid RM500 for lets say WXC 88 thinking maybe someone won't bid for it. Then you guys have to take into consideration, those runners got jalan inside one. They can "listen" to what are the highest bids and bid maybe rm50 more than what you bid for the same number for their customer. My advice, if you really want a nice number, go for runner. Just pay them. Unless the number, you can wait (means other alphabet). I went thru runner for my 1313 |

QUOTE(g88 @ Jul 20 2012, 12:18 AM) I paid RM2k for 1313. But the alphabet was old one. When I bought my Forte, was supposed to be WWG/H one. On average, runner will charge RM4k for 1313 (current alphabet) |

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 23 2012, 03:46 PM) Actually I don't know why but I prefer the current forte front looks. The next Gen one looks kinda hmm the grill and the headlights design looks weird to me... No offense though. Just my personal opinion Looks like elantra fitted with Kia's unique grill |

QUOTE(broken_heart @ Jul 23 2012, 03:55 PM) Hi, Are you all guys purchase the bodykit during the time buying car or separately installed by outsider ? which one is better ? I purchased mine when I got my car. But not mistaken, now most SAs give free BK. As i understand , bodykit has few types. For forter, we got PU / ABS. Is OEM standard bodykit for forte and there is PU. Which one is better ? sorry to ask. From my understanding, PU is very durable, but requires great skills to get good paintwork on the BK. It is also bulkier. ABS is lighter and has a nicer mold I feel. And dun have to worry bout paintwork because the material can allow paint to stick to it nicely. But very costly.. and if you hit hard, it WILL break! I just did my alignment and balancing at Sunway area. Definitely fixed my slight pull left issue with a very high cost |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jul 29 2012, 02:47 PM) Looks much better than the prototype and spy pictures suggest, although personally I would prefer a more chiselled look like the current Forte/Optima rather than the curvy design which reminisce Hyundai's fluidic themes. Yeah. I personally prefer current design also. Looks more aggressive if you ask me I wonder how the new Koup, if there's one coming out, would look like. The Elantra coupe looks very feminine due to its curvy design, while the current Koup's appeal is its sleek, angular profile. On a sidenote, I wonder when will Korean/Japanese carmakers embrace downsizing and turbocharging like the Europeans are doing now. QUOTE(zouk88 @ Jul 29 2012, 04:27 PM) No need 2.0 logo bro. Good to be modest and smoke 1.6 fellas if you have a chance |

QUOTE(g88 @ Aug 3 2012, 11:22 AM) Actually only 1" different, in fact 17" will give better FC as your car will move 'faster' = bigger diameter, lesser rotation Fact is, total diameter (rim + tyre) + weight of rims matters. 17" rims and 16" rims at the end of the day, total diameter still the same thus number of rotations needed to reach 100km will be same hence FC will be same. Then we look to rim size. Generally, bigger rims = more metal, less rubber = heavier. Smaller rims, less metal, more rubber = lighter. If we were to get a 16" rim thats the same weight as a 17" rim, then FC would be the same. Best is, get 16" lightweight rims for best FC |

QUOTE(izputra @ Aug 3 2012, 07:10 PM) Exactly as what i did to my Forte 2.0. I used 16" rims with weigh just 7kg. Better FC especially in city driving, better acceleration & better comfort for sure But my 17" lenso es6 8kg only. So not much different than your rims in terms of FC |
