Hi, just want to know if anyone of you face this problem.

Recently, my PS3 cannot detect the wireless controllers. I can only use them by connecting the USB charging cable. Anyone know what is the problem here? Setup issue or hardware issue?

Firstly, is the controller's battery fully charged? I don't mean to be obvious, but it's easy to forget to charge the controller when the battery runs low because no one really pays attention to the light on the front once the console responds.

Also, go through the pairing procedure again. Sometimes the PS3 can forget the pairing.

I have 2 ps3. I have 2 controller too. Both fully charged also only can be detected by either one ps3. Using usb to pair it also not working. This is difficult. I ended up labelling my controller and ps3 with 1 and 2 on which the controller being detected. Any one have any better idea than charging it full or conect usb to pair it? Sometime when i play with a certain ps3, i want both controller can be use

Ram....it is charged....
When you say pairing - is it just by connecting the USB wire and then take it off, or I have to go thru the menu?
In the past, I just eed to connect with the wire for a few seconds and then release them

I have 2PS3 with 4 controllers. Whenever I switch controllers, all I need to do is connect with the USB cable for a few seconds and the controller can be used. Now I have problem with only one of the PS3. I think maybe the wireless receiver in that PS3 has kaput.... sad.gif

Go through menu.

And I don't think you can pair PS3 controller with two consoles. If you paired the controller with one PS3, chances are the other PS3 will "forget" that controller.

It seems you understand my problem
It's not about the ps3 controller forgot it what not
That we understand already
Previously the controller can be pair between 2 ps3 just by USB wired connection
But the pairing using USB doesn't work anymore for me
Maybe its like you said that my ps3 USB receiver is already kong
Maybe I'll try with 2nd USB slot later
