If I watch my photos on a 75in TV, is a 1in Sensor good enough for PQ or need a APS-C?

I’m thinking of going for RXVI instead of 7 for price. Also for pocket ability. I find it a bit heavy to hang my A6400 around my neck for travelling. Hence sold it.

So my shortlist of VI and maybe VII or a Ricoh GR3

What you should be concerned about is megapixels, not sensor size. Your TV is 1080p if full HD (short edge) or 3840px long edge if 4K. Any sensor larger than 8MP will be more than enough, the rest is up to your photography skills.

Thanks for the advice.

This price is even higher than M6 when it launched last year.

Hi guys, i have A6000 for almost 4 years and i often use wide lens to go with it. Recently i came across with this RX series. I find it is so compact and small. I love the small form factor as it is much easy to carry around, although i can say A6000 is not as huge as dslr or A7.

My question, how is the image quality in real world situation? Given the fact recent RX6 or 7 have a newer technology despite its smaller sensor. I often print out my photos and put it into albums. But usually 4R or 5R size only. Will i ‘downgrade’ by changing my camera to RX?

Same as me. I had my A6000 in 2014 and uses Twin Zeiss Touit lens. Love it. But sold them already as too heavy to bring around for holiday. Now looking at RX100.

wanna ask anyone here using RX100 VII ? .. thinking about buying this camera

Me since launch. Kinda a bit disappointing as I come from A6xxx series. Hard to hold. But plus point is size.

Somehow the color is not as vibrant and it’s not as bright due to the smaller sensor than the A6xxx.
I can accept the wide part, just have to walk further. The zoom range is great. The size and weight also means I don’t have shoulder ache after a while days of walking.

Btw I’m just a casual and vacation shooter. I do missed the A6xxx interms of easiness to grab/hold, color, my Zeiss Touit wide. If you think the size and weight, zoom of RX is enough to compensate for the weakness go for it. I travelled to cities several times a year. So if I goto japan I wish I had the RX to capture food photos in tiny restaurant. But when I’m in Australia I wish I have the bigger and easier to hold camera. Best is to have both base on usage
