QUOTE(nitromx @ Jun 7 2012, 05:19 PM) was quoted RM450 for soft close set for drawer (not branded) If you are talking about the railing for the drawer is about rm110+ depending on technology. is this the usual price? where can get cheaper? Some German technology automatic can cost thousands just for a drawer. RM 25, let me know where I wanna get dozens of them. |

Ikea's are Blum if I'm not mistaken...
You can also go to Kitch at 3.5 mile OKR. They are the distributor for Blum. They will give you the price and also sell you. Important thing is you need someone to fix it How big are your drawers? Some comes with the box as well. For Blum it's called the tandem box or something. I can't remember how much I paid and I'm too lazy to go dig up my records. yes the size of your drawers will roughly determine the total weight it can carry and you need to choose the right mechanism for that weight that it is suppose to carry.
no such thing as standard size. some drawers are huge like 200cm wide. 90-100 cm is about average i suggest you go to the two places i mentioned to learn more |

If you really want to use Blum systems. Take a drive down to singapore and get them. Directly from their warehouse. During my renovation, my wife and i drove down and got their drawer soft close systems and 50kg tandems for at least half price off compared to malaysia.
5x50kg tandem, 20 soft close hinges, 4 lift systems, and other...we saved at least 2k. |

Can give address pls. Tq.5x50kg tandem, 20 soft close hinges, 4 lift systems, and other...we saved at least 2k. On Ikea drawers, I can confirm they are BLUM. However, not all KC contractors want to install for you. The Ikea drawers also require deeper depth, abit more than the normal. I used ikea drawers for my wet kitchen. Price wise, the Ikea drawers and the Blum are not that much different. Kitch will give u a 10% discount. If you kc guy is nice, they can help u get a 20% discount, which means he is forgoing his own profit I guess... |
