Hello there, after studied and research for the monoblock and the subwoofer. I don't know whether I'm correct or not so I decided to ask the masters over here.
I have a subwoofer 12", DVC, 4ohm each coil @ 350W RMS.
So I should connect the sub into series which is 8ohm or parallel which is 2ohms per coil and bridge to the amp.
If not mistaken, the lower the ohm, the more power it has is it?
So the monoblock I need will be 700W RMS x 1 x 2ohms right?
Please guide me into this. Just that I found the sub unused so Im thinking of putting it into my car.
Thank you very much.

QUOTE(zennn @ Jun 8 2012, 12:06 PM) i dont the rating is per coil, usually the rting is for the sub as a whole. lower impedance doesnt give the sub more power, but it double the power of the amp. u need to look for amp that corresponds to the power of the sub, at the impedance from the wiring. if the sub is 350w and u plan to wire it parallel, u need a 175W amp, which gives 350W at 2ohm Thanks for the reply. And FYI, on the subwoofer itself, it is written Impedance: 4Ohm per coil Recommended amplifier RMS power range 40 - 350w per coil So means i need an amps that give 700W at 2ohm

QUOTE(zennn @ Jun 12 2012, 04:38 PM) i guess can look for amp that gives 350W at 4ohm or more, shouldnt be that hard, i think got quite a few 400-500W amps in market hmm..but now im using 1 DVC Sub only which it can either go 8ohm or 2ohm only..no 4 ohm
