During the demo, speed fetched more than 80Mbps, running smoothly when streamed HD video and played online game at the same time.
I'm from telco vendor and not provider, so not sure of the pricing.

I did try LTE in the office during our demo, well there is a test lab in the office that has all the LTE equipment. The engineers are still testing LTE in the office until today. Sometimes I pop into their meeting room and test out the goddess' speed.

QUOTE(zack2381 @ Jun 14 2013, 11:22 AM) i got 63.46mbps download speed using maxis LTE on my S4 LTE near jalan duta to parliament (istana negara) on my way to office this morning..thats the highest so far.. I'm using that plan too for my LTE while I have truly unlimited plan (legacy) for my WiFi sharing. Legacy still doesn't have LTE yet but mine is a multi-SIM so confirmed no for now.Second best LTE coverage is near the entrance of MEX from KL - i got 57mbps.. Consistent 4G coverage in TTDI area - 30-40mbps download.. Yes, im on unlimited maxis plan (speed wont throttled, no capped limit) so im taking advantage of this. well, testing speedtest.net also eat 2-3gb of the usage..my advise, dont go for LTE device if you are not on unlimited plan. The 4g lte speed eat your data so damn fast, and dont blame the network for that.. Once it is on LTE, it has cap. 30GB is the limit. The speed will be throttled later. The throttled speed? Not bad at all. You try it yourself. There are other forummers who confirmed it will be capped after 30GB. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 14 2013, 02:02 PM |

QUOTE(zack2381 @ Jun 14 2013, 05:04 PM) i thought maxis has confirmed that they wont throttled even after 30gb? if its unlimited then capping at 30gb is indeed a misrepresentation. For normal DC-HSPA+, yes it won't throttle but once your line is connected to LTE. It will have cap.how u get LTE with multi sim? i thought multi sim for 4g is not available yet? since i'm on this plan 3 years ago, only 2 occasions that my data exceeds 30gb a month, due to my kid actively watching youtube day and night, first 2 months since i got my ipad. I didn't have LTE with my multi SIM. "Legacy still doesn't have LTE yet but mine is a multi-SIM so confirmed no for now." I have two plans in short. I may be wrong. This is based on my own experience and others as well. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 14 2013, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(zack2381 @ Jun 14 2013, 05:26 PM) ok noted. but on 30gb capped, where is this mentioned/advertised by maxis? It doesn't mention but it just came like that. I don't know how true is that. Who knows you are lucky? as so far my area doesnt hv lte coverage, my parent house yes..even hspa connection gives me 22mbps download sometimes. average 11-15mbps..unlike my previous non-lte phone having hspa speed of around 3-5mbps download. indeed, lte devices does improve speed for hspa connection.. |

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Aug 8 2013, 09:25 AM) A lot of telco just waste so much money in their internal dept with so called development or research which after so many years bring no good result or wrongly plan in investment. End up the extra cost need to pass out to consumer. Just my 2 cent. R&D is one of the most important divisions in an organization, the company I'm working in is a telco vendor spends a lot on R&D because that's how you remain competitive in the market. Your customer wants to see what you can offer that others can't. |
