QUOTE(jkn @ Jan 13 2013, 02:18 AM) Why is it that all telcos in Malaysia only sell HSDPA/LTE service via so-called 'broadband' packages? What happened to mobile PHONES? Practically all phones come with HSDPA nowadays, yet no telco offers services faster than EDGE/3G.v1 (3mbps and below). What's the point of LTE phones then? ya...stupid telco.telco should improve the 3G coverage and speed. there are still many places in malaysia without 3g. telco announce 4g in places with good 3g coverage. in the end, the places with good coverage will always get a high speed and other places will be left alone forever with 2g (EDGE or even GPRS). example: town ABC - 2G > 3G > 4G > 5G > 6G..whatever G in the future... kampung XYZ - 2G forever |

QUOTE(coolstore @ Jun 18 2014, 01:50 PM) you mean YES's LTE broadband? not launching yet, same 2600MHz but it is LTE-TDD, not LTE-FDD used by maxis/celcom/umobile/digi etc. both P1 (TM owned now) and YES LTE will be based on TDD (unless they change their mind, who knows) does sierra 320u support TDD?if your 4g modem support both FDD and TDD, then can use any 1 of them in future, easily change ISP if not satisfied. |
